The analytical part is focused on analysis of the activities including comparasion of financial indicators with competitors in global martket and suggestions for improvments. The final part includes project, which should increase the overal performance of the company.

Internet search engines and low-cost airline model

The bachelor thesis describes the history of air transport in our country and also in the world. Later, it specifies the evolution of low-cost air transport and the main characteristics of the low-cost business model. In the practical part the thesis deals with the analysis of the internet search engines. They will be compared according to the graphic processing, the scope of the search, the services provided, the process of obtaining the ticket directly from the website and the best price and time-based variant on the routes Prague - Santiago de Compostela and Prague - Los Angeles.

Airport services in connection with VAT

This bachelor thesis provides general background of airport and handling services in regards to VAT. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter describes the historical context of the air transport and the Law on Value Added Tax in particular. Furthermore this chapter describes organizations that are tightly connected with the air transport. The second chapter outlines particular services, which can be offered to the airlines. This chapter also defines the rules for VAT and consumption tax exemption. The third part focuses on the handling services and the tax system. The final chapter analyses specific examples of the services provided for the airlines. These services are divided depending on whom they are supplied to, place of performance, and if the rules for exemption are fulfilled, whether they can be VAT exempted.

European Low Cost Air Transport

The thesis deals with the issues of the low cost carriers and analyses the features of the European low cost airlines. It contains analysis of the differences between low cost airlines and traditional airlines and enumerates the fields where the low cost airlines reduce their costs. The thesis explains the impact of low prices of air tickets on services provided by low fare airlines. There is also a comparison of the air ticket prices and other fares among various airlines on selected route as well as reference to some failed and discontinued projects.
