Ivo Zdráhal, Ph.D. This diploma thesis deals with developmental changes of an agricultural business environment. In the theoretical section, this development is observed at a moni-tored company PATRIA Kobylí, a.s. The acquired knowledge is further verified in the practical section. The thesis is elaborated in form of a case study which aims to evaluate the development since the founding of the company till the present, and to reflect selected indicators such as sowing areas, yields from the area and prices in the company. Those indicators are compared with the statistical data of the Czech Republic. Three core commodities (winter wheat, milk, apricots and wine) were selected to examine the indicators. Last but not least, the thesis also deals with the strategy of diversification of activities, which is represented by production of plastic constructions. A SWOT analysis suggested strategies which are to be seen as opportunities for future plans. A financial analysis of the company and grants that play a large part in the company´s profitability are included in the final segment of the diploma thesis. Changes in the status of the agricultural company within the agribusiness. Brno, 2016. Diploma thesis. Mendel University, Superviser of thesis Ing. Ivo Zdráhal, Ph.D. This Diploma thesis characterizes substantive and structural changes in a agricultural company, active in primary production sector in the Czech Republic. In its individual parts it focuses not only on theoretical background related to the creation and shaping of today s agribusiness sector, but especially in its main section effectively declares the development of structural changes in the management of company. The thesis is processed in the form of case study, which under the terms of knowledge of the theoretical basis of forming the current agribusiness developments were examined in a company in a specific period of time. For effective reflexes were selected as the most important indicators, which are represented by crop rotation surfaces, per hectare yields and expenses, realized prices and average prices in the territory of both the Czech Republic and the territory of neighbouring states. As a commodity for which individual parameters were examined, three were selected crop (wheat, rapeseed, sugar beet) and one animal (milk). In addition to detailed analysis of these articles this thesis sets itself a goal of understanding the production ways which modern agricultural companies are going especially the form of investment construction of biogas stations, composting plant, Etc. Financial analysis in the separate chapter reflets economics of the development which has also been taken under the consideration Finally, the thesis focuses on the involvement of selected company Hanácká zemědělská společnost Jevíčko a. s. to a holding structure under the maternal company AGRO 2000 s. r. o. and on the influence the above mentioned indicators by this acquisition.

Czech agricultural policy and its impact on the management of selected agricultural entities

The graduation thesis Czech Agricultural Policy and its Impact on the Management of Selected Agricultural Entities deals with the effect of the obtained grants in the selected agricultural enterprises in the time period of 2010 2014.
The enterprises are submitted to a financial analysis. Methods include the analysis of absolute indexes that shall evaluate the progress of the financial statement items by means of the horizontal analysis. Furthermore, the method of ratio index analysis is used where the liquidity, indebtedness, activity and profitability indexes are calculated.
Consequently, there is the analysis of the obtained grants and its impact on the enterprise economy. Juxtaposition of operating results of each subject including the operating grants and without them. The last step is the calculation of ratio indexes without the mentioned operating grants.
The conclusion evaluates the enterprise dependence on the grants on the basis of the analysis results and discloses the most prosperous enterprise within the group in view. Furthermore, there are measures proposed that could lead to improvement of the situation in enterprises. For example, to focus more on ordinary activities bringing revenues. Assess the size of rented land and its use within the business of enterprises or consider the appropriateness of financing foreign sources.

Přímé platby v podpoře rozvoje českého zemědělství

The thesis deals with the issue of direct payments in the model of the common agricultural policy of the European Union and their specific implementation in the conditions of the Czech agriculture. In the framework of theoretical solutions are describes elementary national interventions in agricultural sector, decisive changes in approaches to support the development of agriculture in current conditions of agribusiness and the definition of the role direct payments in this concept. Next section is devoted to the specific characteristic and main differences in the implementation of direct payments in the context of their development in reformed strategies in common agriculture policy and differences in their application in the origional and new member countries, with a focus on the application of this aid in the conditions of the Czech agriculture. The assumptions and benefits of the application the direct payments in nowadays conditions of the Czech agriculture are authenticated on the example of a specific agricultural holding.

Zemědělský podnik v současných podmínkách : aspekty a tendence vývoje velikostní struktury /

The dissertation deals with the role of the size of the agricultural holding and the role of entrepreneur structure in current conditions of dynamic changes in agriculture in global and regional context. For this purpose, we established theoretical limits and evaluated approaches to understanding the size of the farms and its boundaries, decisive socioeconomic and political factors and processes influencing the forming of the size of the structure of agricultural holdings. Basic tendencies of the development of the size structure of the agricultural holdings in the EU member states are evaluated including the importance of the individual size segments and their share in the output of the industry. In this context the results of the analyses and comparisons of the development of the entrepreneur structure in the original and new member states of the EU are presented in comparison with the development of farms in the US. The thesis contributes to the broadening of knowledge and study of the role of the size of farm as an essential determinant of its development in current agribusiness from the point of view of objective approaches to the use in strategic support of the industry and enterprises of primary production.

Zhodnocení ekonomické úrovně ekologicky hospodařících zemědělských podniků

Organic agriculture in the Czech Republic is today a stabilized agriculture system, which is supported by the government and sets up as a good alternative to the development of agricultural in the future. The main aim of this thesis is to contribute to the recognition of the level of economic development regarding organic agriculture enterprises as well as to recognize the main relationship supporting or limiting further development of this system of agricultural in the Czech Republic. The simultaneous aim of the thesis is to contribute to the improvement of the methods used for the evaluation of the situation of the economic development of the organic agricultural enterprises, specifically agriculture and organic agriculture. The thesis is focused mainly on the financial aspect of the economic situation of the organic agricultural enterprises, especially considering the firm's operations and profitability that means the efficiency of the firm. The achieved results show the different situations in organic and conventional agriculture enterprises. This difference is more evident in the case of individual farmers. From the point of view in creating Economic Value Added all the models show higher success in organic agriculture. The ratio of subsidies to sales is higher in the case of organic agricultural enterprises (both individual and commercial farmers) than in the conventional ones. Subsidies are important source of income for agricultural enterprises and with respect to organic agriculture are very essential. The subtraction of subsidies from the gross income reduced the profit and the profitability of organic agriculture enterprises. Without subsidies the results show negative profit. The thesis is not focused on the assessment of different agriculture production, but evaluates the enterprise as a whole. Unavailability of data means certain limitation for the results. That's why average data was used. With all these limitations it is possible to assume that both financial and economic situations of the organic agriculture basic-industry are favorable.
