Testing of room acoustics
Toufarová, Tereza ; Špalek, Karel (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)
This paper presents parameters of evaluation of acoustic quality of the space. It is divided into parts presenting physical principle of the origin and movement of the acoustic signal, principles of its processing with current technology and properties of the acoustic field. This is followed by an analysis of the musical part and notes on psychoacoustics. The document contains a description of relevant parameters of acoustic spaces and way in which we can reach desired results, including material analysis. The paper mainly focuses on description of relevant parameters of three acoustic spaces which were measured. The last part of the work is a program for elementary acoustical measurement, which can be provided by means of commonly accessible equipment such as a notebook or a personal computer.
The rate of repeated capture and release of water by a mixed recyclate of disposable diapers and its individual components
Březinová, Štěpánka ; Ondreáš, František (referee) ; Jančář, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the recycling of disposable diapers. The waste from disposable diapers could be potentially used again and it is also a more ecological solution than incineration of this waste. The process of recycling separates individual parts of the diaper so they could be used again. In this bachelor’s thesis, the product of recycling is a recycled material that is composed of cellulose and sodium polyacrylate. Sodium polyacrylate is one of the superabsorbent polymers that have great absorptive qualities. The resulting recycled material has the same qualities as well. In the experimental part of this bachelor’s thesis, the recycled material is analyzed and the absorptive and desorptive qualities are compared with the qualities of sodium polyacrylate.
An analysis of the determinants influencing the probability of cancellation for projects receiving EU funding
Nový, Petr ; Martišková, Monika (advisor) ; Patáková, Magdalena (referee)
This thesis approaches the problem of the cancelled projects receiving EU funding as another reference variable through which the absorption capacity of the Czech Republic may be measured. The determinants influencing the probability of projects cancellation have so far been only modestly described. Therefore, an attempt to examine some determinants influencing the probability of cancellation for projects receiving EU funding is made, first, by summarizing and describing trends of cancelled projects in the programming period 2007 - 2013 and, second, by econometric inference trying to find the possible determinants. The data shows the ever increasing trend of cancelled projects and large share of the Operational Program Enterprise and Innovations on all cancelled projects. It was found that it is the size of the paid amount for projects that determines negatively the probability of projects cancellation most significantly. Apart from that, the age of a firm and number of employees also play a significant positive role. The year 2008 when crisis broke out, is also a determining factor.

The Merchant or the Vicar? The Role of Values and Interests in the Dutch EU Enlargement Policy
Lellák, Jan ; Rovná, Lenka (advisor) ; Váška, Jan (referee)
This diploma thesis examines with the Dutch attitude towards enlargement of the European Union. In Netherlands the EU enlargement is a politically sensitive issue. Dutch foreign policy is traditionally closely connected with the concept of "merchant and the vicar", reflecting both values of the society and national interests. Interestingly the attitude of the government, reflecting the public opinion, is much more conservative compared to other member states and strictly support the democratic conditionality as the core strategy of the EU to induce candidate states to comply with its human rights and democracy standards. Netherlands gives also special value to the need to give particular regards to the current absorption capacity of EU. The main purpose of the thesis is to evaluate to what extent is the official attitude of the Dutch government towards enlargement shaped by either interests or values of the society as a whole. I put the current Dutch attitude in the context of the current development in Serbia, as the most significant candidate state form the region of Western Balkans and Iceland. The thesis analyses two very similar cases: the cooperation with the ICTY in Hague and the Icesave dispute. Netherlands has long and persistently blocked the accession negotiations with Iceland and...

Absorption capacity analysis of the town Soběslav
PRAŽMOVÁ, Andrea
The main topic of this thesis is the depletion of financial resources from the European Union (EU) funds and their effectiveness (focused on the programming period 2007-2013, resp. 2014-2020). The theoretical part is dedicated to the definition of the term "absorption capacity" and the regional policy and related aspects. The regional policy of the EU is described as well as various tools of the regional policy that are applied in the Czech Republic and the EU. The thesis deals with structural policy that comes from the regional policy. The thesis also includes the budget structure of the EU. The practical part is focused on the introduction of the town of Soběslav and its budget preparation. Simultaneously, it includes information about the depletion of the town Soběslav from resources of EU and national resources. The questionnaire was prepared about EU funds projects which have been already realized in Soběslav and about others planned for programming period 2014 2020. Questions were consulted with secretery of the municipal authority of Soběslav. According to answers, the management of the town Soběslav was evaluated. Finally, the suggestion for the two projects of EU funds is covered in this thesis and the occassion of the depletion financial resources from Norway grants.
Induced Costs and Absorption Capacity
Matějková, Jitka ; Krbová, Jana (advisor) ; Luštický, Martin (referee)
The work deals with the connection of issues induced costs and absorption capacity. The aim of the work is to analyze the induced costs caused by the implementation of projects financed from the EU funds and their impact on the absorption capacity. The main methods used in practical part are the questionnaire survey, structured interviews and content analysis of data.
