Pilot questioning of patological addiction on food - investigation accomplished in selected Prague fast food restaurants and sweetshops

This thesis deals with the phenomenon of food addiction. The research was held among the customers of Prague sweetshops, fast foods and supermarkets. The aim of this work is to find the prevalence of this phenomenon if Prague population, which visits these organizations. The second aim of this work is to deal with prevalence of food dependence in relation with social - demographic readings, such as gender, age, the highest education and a level of month salary. It pays attention to the high incidence of different criterion of food addiction. Finally it deals with problematic foodstuff. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first theoretical part deals with the problems of food dependence. According to the bibliographic search this work reports on diagnostic methods for this illness and on most frequent problematic foodstuff, like additives in food. For better understanding of this problem I include to my work differences between eating disorders, obesity and food addiction. In this theoretic part, there is also article which deals with results of researches on rodents and human beings. This article confirms that this illness exists. ABCTRACT BACKGROUND: Currently, the diagnosis of ADHD is highly debated. Symptoms pass from childhood to adulthood. It turns out that people who according to the questionnaire YFAS meet the diagnostic criteria for dependence on food, show more comorbidity of other disorders such as binge eating, depressive, or ADHD. OBJECTIVE: The research problem and the aim of the diploma thesis is to find out what effect the regular diet regimen has on the diagnosis of food dependence in clients who are being treated in residential treatment in the treatment community of NL dependence. Assess whether a food addiction is more likely to suffer from ADHD symptoms and symptoms of psychopathology according to the SCL - 90 questionnaire. METHODS: The thesis is based on data from the GAČR ADHD project. The research was conducted in 5 therapeutic communities in the Czech Republic. The YFAS, DIVA and SCL- 90 questionnaires were used for the research. Test cells were collected in 4 waves of data collection, but only the first and second wave of data collection are used in this work because we are interested in data about clients on arrival and during the stay. Psychological Aspects of Food Intake

This paper is particularly aimed at people who console themselves with food to solve their problems. Psychosocial factors are the most common reasons for overweight and obesity, which are thought as the epidemic of the 21st century. Therefore this bachelor thesis is concentrating at the impact on food over the psyche and overeating, which can lead to overweight and obesity. Emotional eating is a close link between emotions and eating, and especially among women is it quite widespread. Therefore should be experts by the treatment of obesity in particular focus on the psyche of these people and offer them psychological assistance.
