Concept In the measure of town Yverdon Les Bains the baths park is understood like one of the important spot which influences its surroundings. The surroundings give the impression of neutrality because of the differentness of its composition. So the baths park and three historical buildings in it create the most valuable element. It is independent world where people could relax and feel their senses. Free shape in the “free landscape”. It is seemingly haphazard like its surroundings. Although the building has its own inner composition which I call “Small world under large rooftop”. I would like to create atmosphere where would be unique inner space, light and intimate darkness, warm and cold, atmosphere full of nice smell. Each material has its own sound, temperature and surface. The basic element of the baths is water. It is going through the building, connecting all the parts of the baths and creates special atmosphere. People have to know they entered in to the baths world.

Spa is located on the outskirts of the Swiss city of Yverdon. Area is surrounded by disparate buildings especially residential character. There are historical buildings on the land and buildings of the spa and hotel. The current spa and the outbuilding of hotel don´t meet requirements, that´s why the buildings will be replaced by a new complex. Neighbourhood doesn´t have any relationship with the spa, that´s why the whole land is surrounded by a wall. Water surface with three “floating” pavilions is inserted into this closed spa park. There are the public spa, the therapeutic spa and the part of the hotel on the water surface. Each of them works largely independently; they are connected by the water surface. The complex is separated by a part of shallow water from the park. It´s solitaire in the park, but it has close connection with it. The spa complex is located near the forest on the south part of the land, because the whole system is quite open.

Design of the spa complex in the town of Yverdon. In the city, which lies on the shore of Neuchatel Lake. However, our plot is located off the coast. Place the design looks like taken out of context the development of the city. Spa react to immediate surroundings and situation within the parcel that is. This is the regular structure of the volume of a rectangular shape with a shed roof. Objects are abstractly as discussed in industrial halls, which are in the form of individual features of the program are mounting

Spa areal in Yverdon is a peculiar green isle in the context of the town, which is surrounded by a build-up area, so it is the part of the town in the same time. So I decided to propose the spa in more than one object to create a piece of the town - but lying in the park, which can bring diverse situations to the place and enrich the park not just for the users of the spa itself. There are three basic parts of the spa project content - so that three houses. Public spa with wellness, therapeutic spa and the hotel. There is large water face interconnecting the spa houses and a big hard surface as the counter balance of the water. In the design of the space arrangement my aim was to propose simple spaces with easy orientation within. Frequent motiv is the contrast of the opened and enclosed or the view-throughs into the further spaces.

Spa building as a symbiotic organism of the park. Principle pouring mass between the trees comes from finding intimacy important for the spa, and the genius loci of the park. The dialogue and the interpenetration of interior and exterior, walking in the park and inside the building, the play of light and vistas are the subject of this work, which produces organic architecture, not as a mere form, but as a result of a thorough analysis of the Site. Park becomes part of the building, creating green bays, thanks to which all the rooms gain the same qualities. Architecture defined by the flow of air and light, scent of spa water. Visitation of the spa as an irreducible complex of impressions that stimulate our senses.
