The activity of the integrated rescue system during floods in a village with extended powers
DUŠKOVÁ, Denisa
The main topic of the bachelor's thesis is the floods in 2002 and 2013 in the entire affected area of the Czech Republic and also in the village with extended powers of Vodňany. The activities of the relevant authorities and the population were evaluated, focusing on the extent of the evacuation and the progress of the basic and other components of the integrated rescue system. The theoretical part begins by defining important legislation for this topic, which is a basic pillar here. Furthermore, this section contains a description of the integrated rescue system, flood authorities and individual measures before and during the flood. There is also a simple explanation of the term "evacuation" and the last chapters of the theoretical part include the floods in 2002, 2013 and the flood situation in Europe in 2021, because in each country the intensity of floods, their consequences, course, but also the progress of rescue services and the attitude of the population varies more or less. The scenario is not always the same, and it is important to know how other countries will deal with a living disaster of this magnitude. The practical part focused on a detailed description of the content of the Digital Flood Plan of the town of Vodňany, a breakdown and assessment of the activities of the authorities and the integrated rescue system during the floods in 2002 and 2013 in Vodňany and finding out the knowledge and preparedness of the Vodňany population on the topic of floods. The results of this survey were developed into graphs. Based on the acquired knowledge, it can be stated that there are obvious shortcomings in the knowledge of the citizens of Vodňany on the topic of floods.
The dean church of the Nativity of Virgin Mary in Vodňany. Its building history and adjustments in modern times
MOSEROVÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor's thesis is devoted to the building history and modern modifications of the dean church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Vodňany. The construction of the Vodňany church has undergone several reconstructions since its inception. The first mention of the church dates back to 1327, in the first half of the 15th century the building was given a high gothic appearance. An interesting chapter of early modern building development is the presence of the Italian builder Vincenc Vogarelli, who built the north nave. Around 1630, the Marradas family donated a baroque painting of the Virgin Mary of Monserrat to the Vodňany church. After the town fire, the interior of the church was supplemented by a set of late baroque statues during the second half of the 18th century. In the years 1894-1897, the church was converted into a neo-gothic form by the architect Josef Mocker. Today's decoration of the church also comes from the mentioned years, while designs for it were provided by Mikoláš Aleš. Preserved cardboard for stained glass and frescoes comes from his hand. The bachelor's thesis also deals with other monuments in the vicinity of Vodňany, in the decoration of which Mikoláš Aleš participated. The art-historical significance of these monuments is set in the corresponding context of the artist's work.

The thesis continues with a chapter about the GIS of city, in which there is mentioned a procedure of how the GIS should be created. Male Sterlet (Acepenser ruthenus) Fertility under Fish Farming Conditions of the Czech Republic
SCHACHERLOVÁ, Jiřina
Currently, fish fertility studies are mainly focused on female fertility. Studies showing fertility of male fish of any kind are missing to a large extent. The main objective of my thesis was to identify what level of fertility is achieved by male sterlet (Acipenser ruthenus) in the conditions of fish farming in the Czech Republic. Male fish from the Vodňany farm where the raised population comes from Russia was compared to male fish from Pohořelice where the raised population comes from Danube. The total comparison test involved 49 pieces of fish. Following stripping to collect semen from male fish, the concentration of sperm (.109.ml-1) was measured in a 1 ml-1 semen sample. Consequently, a sperm count per 1 kg-1 male fish (.109.ml-1) and a sperm volume per 1 kg-1 male fish (ml-1) and a total male fish sperm count (.109) were measured. The highest values of weight identified in male fish was measured in the Pohořelice fish farm. The lowest values of weight was measured in male sterlet of the Vodňany fish farm. The highest as well as lowest volumes of collected semen per 1 kg-1 male fish were identified in Vodňany. However, the average volumes of both cultures were not significantly different. It was concluded by comparison that collected semena volume does not depend on the weight of said fish. Also, the relative fertility was significantly different between male fish of the same population. The highest and lowest sperm count per 1 kg-1 male sterlet were identified in Vodňany. The average minimum and maximum sperm counts per 1 kg-1 male fish were different very much which shows that a greater number of male fish should be used for spawn to ensure sufficient egg fertilization. The average overall fertility values in both cultures are very similar and mainly different in specific specimen of the same culture as well as between those cultures. The results showed that a total sperm count in semen depends on the volume of collected semen. It was further concluded that sterlet fertility does not depend on the size (weight) of fish.
