The primary aim of the project was to create a new hotel building with a wine gustation salon in a way which would interfere with the natural character of the surroundings as little as possible whilst offering a wide lookout. The purpose of this building facility is also more than four-star accommodations. The hotel also contains a restaurant, wine gustation salon with an adjacent wine gallery representing local wine area of Modré Hory and a spacious underground wellness complex making the stay at the hotel more pleasurable. The industrial conception of the building is inspired by wine production and the periodicality of vineyards which is observable on the front mounted facade. Preservation of the regularity of both horizontal and vertical rasters was possible thanks to this facade. Another interesting factor of the building is the roof of the overground part of the wellness center which is used as a staircase seating. This part of the object created a partially covered amphitheatre and a summer theater which also serves as the main front space entry of the hotel.

Modern winery complex hotel Hrůdek is situated on the north part of village Velké Pavlovice, in the heart of south Moravia the Czech Republic. Its significant placement on the south hillside offers beautiful views to the vineyards and apricot plantations. The architectural form of the building is inspired by the regularity and rhythm of vineyard lines, significant horizontal landscape around and rounded contour lines. Embedding of the building into the slope reacts to the topography of the terrain and refers to the traditional principle of local two-storey wine press houses. From the upper part is the entrance to the accommodation part and from the lover part of the slope is entrance to the wine cellar – the gallery of wine. Hotel offers 4-stars class accommodation, two congress halls, restaurant, wellness and gallery of the wine. Project integrates energetic eco-friendly concepts and its proposed as the self-sufficient building.
Identification of potentially suitable habitats for occurrence of European Ground Squirrel (Spermophilus citellus) using remote sensing
Kadeřábková, Tereza ; Kupková, Lucie (advisor) ; Hais, Martin (referee)
The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the possibilities of remote sensing (RS) data with different spatial resolution (UAV data with 5cm resolution, RapidEye satellite data with 5m resolution and Sentinel-2A data with 10m resolution) and of remote sensing methods (unsupervised and supervised classifications, vegetation indices NDVI and TVI) to identify potentially suitable habitats for European ground squirrel. The analyses were first carried out in Velké Pavlovice small area of interest and consequently in a broader area of interest comprised of five regions of Moravia and Slovakia. Data form mapping of biotopes and squirrels' burrows collected within a project "Sysli pro krajinu, krajina pro sysly" (European ground squirrels for landscape, landscape for European ground squirrels) were also used for the analyses. Remote sensing methods were first tested in Velké Pavlovice area using RapidEye data. The method providing the best results in the detection of European ground squirrel burrows was then used for a burrows detection in the broader area of interest (five regions) using Sentinel-2A data. The accuracy of results was defined as a proportion of the burrows detected by the resulting layer derived from RS data to the overall number of burrows mapped in the field. Best results were obtained for...
Proměnlivé faktory utvářející identitu Velkých Pavlovic
Melichar, Lukáš
The objective of this bachelor thesis is to identify variable factors that form identity of the selected municipality, specifically of Velké Pavlovice. The work focuses on evaluation of dynamics of city environment in the last 10 years. For this purpose, analysis of demographic indiactors and identity research by applying questionnaire among city dwellers were conducted. The most significant factors for the local identity are folklore and winegrowing. The latter is also substantial for the city image. In contrast, awareness of Local Action Group Hustopečsko, which has potential to connect people in the whole region, can be characterised as a weak.

Pokorná, Lucie
The Bachelor thesis deals with the conditions which characterise the micro-region of Modré hory. Especially the issue of agribussines and conditions for its social development. The content of the thesis introduces the main terms related with the issue, the characteristics of the micro-region analysis associated with the development of the population (including the long term stability), the demographic structure of the population, education, employment and business opportunities. The thesis deals with tourist localities in the micro-region; including agrotourism and bicycle-tourism as well. I also focus on organisations that support tourism development by organising events focused on wine tourism. In conclusion the results are evaluated and options are suggested for future development.
