VODÁKOVÁ, Zuzana
Bachelor thesis is focused on facilities for children who require immediate help in South Czech; district. The main goal of the thesis is to identify strong and weak points of organizations (and mainly of their employees) which provide immediate help for children. The Bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, there is a description of development of a facility for children who require immediate help. The theoretical part is the foundation for the practical part which follows and in which the primary research question was formed: "What strong and bad sides exist in these facilities from the point of view of professional employees of the facilities?" There are another 24 questions connected to the primary one. With respect to the goal of the work, the qualitative research has been chosen which is contributing to explore these issues. The method of questions with the technique of semi structured interview. The research file consists of 3 communication partners who have been chosen on purpose according to a set criterion. The criterion was an intentional choice of professional employees working in the facility longer than 6 months. The interview about strong and weak points of the facility was made with the professional employees. The conclusion of the bachelor thesis is going to contribute to wider knowledge of society about these facilities of this kind and work of social workers. The evaluation of strong and weak points serves to an improvement of the insight into the issues of possible choices to put a child to a foster care or temporary care. The awareness of strong and weak points of the facilities from the point of view of employees proves what for children is important and irreplaceable. The upbringing of a child is an irreplaceable process in the family, however, children does not often get the sense of safety in a family. Therefore a choice of an appropriate facility, where children can temporarily spend time and where he/she gets a distance from an uneasy situation in which he/she was, is a very responsible and difficult task which cannot be taken lightly by all professionals which could participate on choosing the most suitable place for a child.
History of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and role of professor P. Safar
KOSTOHRYZOVÁ, Barbora
The thesis deals with the history of urgent resuscitation and with the life and work of Professor Peter Safar. In the first part of the thesis, the first attempts of urgent resuscitation are described. The second part of the thesis focuses on life and work of Professor Peter Safar, the Austrian doctor with Czech ancestors. The thesis discusses the first attempts that were not based on scientific knowledge, mainly because of the lack of the knowledge about the anatomy and physiology. Another aspect that slowed down the development in discovering new facts about human body was religion. Because of the religion people believe in afterlife that is why they could not manipulate with the body after death nor even dissect the body. But thanks to the experience from past we could learn a lot to move forward and fully understand the complex needs of the patient. Today, each five years the recommended processes how to do an urgent resuscitation are published by the European commission for resuscitation which consists of algorithms based on the evidence based medicine. The theoretical kind of work was chosen for this thesis. The objective of the thesis is to analyse the development of the techniques of urgent resuscitation and to show the role of Professor Peter Safar in this development. In the conclusion of the thesis there are two charts showing the most important facts, which are placed in a list of attachments. The first chart sums up the history of urgent resuscitation from the oldest found notes about resuscitation. The second one presents the work of Professor Peter Safar.
Prehospital urgent care about patient with inspiration pursiness
KRATOCHVÍL, Ivo
ABSTRACT This Bachelor thesis deals with the providing of urgent care to inspiratory dyspnoea patients. It contains definition of the inspiratory dyspnoea, description of each state of the inspiratory dyspnoea, differentially diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. It presents latest findings from specialized literature on this topic. The theoretical part of the thesis mentions different diseases related to inspiratory dyspnoea states. Furthermore, the theoretical part includes therapeutic means and procedures that can be used for live-saving actions and within pre-hospital care for clients with inspiratory dyspnoea. The intention of this thesis was to point out differences between children and adult patients and differences between care for children and adults. Practical part of the thesis is focused on the degree of paramedics' orientation in the theory of pre-hospital urgent care in inspiratory dyspnoea and their theoretical knowledge and skills in treating these states. It is them who decide on life and death, which is a very serious fact particularly in case of children patients, but also adults. A quantitative research was conducted through a questionnaire. The goal was to map out the knowledge of differentially diagnostic procedures and subsequent appropriate therapy in employees of Emergency Medical Service of the Vysočina Region. Two hypotheses were drawn up to achieve the goal. The first hypothesis claimed that paramedics knew urgent care procedures and treatment for inspiratory dyspnoea patients at juvenile age. The second hypothesis said that paramedics did not have enough opportunities to practice securing air passages in children. The questionnaire survey has confirmed both hypotheses. The thesis should serve to improve theoretical preparedness of paramedics for providing urgent care to inspiratory dyspnoea clients and can be used as a study material on the topic.
