Bachelor thesis Zahraniční politika Velké Británie před první světovou válkou (1901-1914) analyzes the position of the British Empire in the international system in the years before the First World War. It focuses on the circumstances that forced Britain to withdraw from the isolation and re-focus its foreign policy on European affairs. Maps steps of British diplomacy, as depending on the internal political establishment, so depending on the concept of "Balance of Power" and tense development on the continent. The aim is to explain reason of the British intervention in the beginning of the World War I. and to prove that British foreign policy had a share on the escalation of conflict.
Russian-British relations in the period from year 1917 until early 1920th

The main objective of this thesis is to describe fully and objectively the British-Russian relations in the period from year 1917 (when convergence between Russia and Britain began) until early 1920th (when the results of World War I were summed up at the Paris Peace Conference) based on the available resources, to identify and analyze the determinants and circumstances of their relations.
