Implementation of cryptographic primitives
Jégrová, Eliška ; Fujdiak, Radek (referee) ; Ležák, Petr (advisor)
This semestral thesis is focused on cryptographic methods. Part of it deals with block ciphers, where are described algorithms of Blowfish and 3DES. It also deals with hash functions of which are analysed algorithms of SHA-3 and Tiger in detail.
Mind Pollution

In my work I deal with parallel sounds of engine and beast. I analyzed the sounds of different beasts and searched for those that are as close as the sounds of the engine. As a representative of engine sound, I chose a motorbike, because the character of the beast corresponds with its character. I decided to turn the sound of the engine to the sounds of the beast, so that they responded to the rotation of the gas and whimpered while driving. I use the sounds of a tiger, alligator, cheetah, leopard, lion, and cats. Part of the thesis is interventions in the public space using a sound-engineered motorcycle.
Morphological differences between the skulls of lions (Panthera leo) and tigers (Panthera tigris)
Šádková, Jolana ; Formanová, Dominika (advisor) ; Pyszko, Martin (referee)
The aim of the thesis was to evaluate possibilities of morphological differentiation of skulls of lions (Panthera leo) and tigers (Panthera tigris) for the purposes of control authorities supervising a trade with endangered species protected by CITES. Tiger skeletons are one of the black markets highly lucrative and plentifully traded goods. Tiger skeletons might be easily exchanged for those of the lions, therefore their distinction is crucially needed for the control authorities. Therefore, a literature search on the morphological differences between the skulls of these two large felids with a focus on non-metric features was carried out. The results of the study show a possibility of distinction between lion and tiger skulls, though different identification features are shown among studied papers. Morphological differences and characteristics of individual subspecies or populations, as well as differences between the sexes and differences caused by specific conditions during ontogenetic development (such as captive breeding) are discussed. The results of the bachelor's thesis suggest a high reliability of species identification by simultaneous usage of multiple morphological characteristics of skulls. However, this conclusion should still be verified by empirical examination of selected...

Important species under the Protection CITES: tiger (Panthera tigris)
TŮMOVÁ, Tereza
This thesis deals with the available data processing on the quantity of tiger population in the wild, biology, threats and protection (especially CITES and WWF). Next, the thesis is focused on legal and illegal trade in years 1975-2013 using CITES Trade Database. The results are evaluated within commodities, purpose of trade, source of specimens and export/import. It was found out that the most frequent purpose of trade is "commercial" and the source of specimens is "wild". The most traded commodity were "bodies and their parts". The main exporters were China and Russia and the main importers were Japan and the USA. China, Vietnam and South Korea were involved in illegal trade the most. There are as few as 3 200 tigers left in the wild and about 5 000 tigers are kept in captivity in the USA.
Challenges of Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris) conservation in the tropics: lessons learned from the Chitwan National Park of Nepal
BHATTARAI, Bishnu Prasad
This research deals with the challenges of the conservation of tiger (Panthera tigris tigris) in the Chitwan National Park of Nepal and aims to be a model for tiger conservation in the tropical areas of other tiger range countries. Despite the high level of public concern and major investments during the last few decades for conservation, wild tigers continue to be under grave threat, and their preservation now requires, more than ever before, using reliable ecological knowledge for their conservation interventions. In this dissertation, I investigated various factors that affect on tiger conservation in this park: population status of prey, dietary patterns of tiger and its impact on sympatric carnivores (e.g., leopard) and increasing human-wildlife conflicts, effects of habitat structures and human disturbances on prey and predator species abundance and distribution.
