Possible Ways of Using Regional Objects as Ideas for Technical Excursions at Primary School

The diploma thesis is focuses on uses of regional objects as ideas for technical excursions at the primary school. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is divided into six theoritical areas. The first area is focused on motivational teaching methods. The second area is devoted to activating teaching methods at primary school. The third area includes the clarification of key concepts such as: research-oriented teaching, technical education, technical literacy and technical creativity. Part four describes technical subjects in Educational program for basic education. The fifth area is focused on the description of the organizational form - an excursion. The final area of the theoretical part offers the characteristics of regional objects with the technical focus of the selected region, which are used in the processed topics. The practical part includes five topics of technically focused objects, which can be implemented in teaching with primary school pupils.
Analysis of selected pre-concepts of technical education of 5. classes of primary school

TITLE: Analysis of selected pre-concepts of technical education of 5. classes of primary school SUMMARY: The thesis focuses on the issues and the consecutive diagnostics of chosen drafts to technical education at primary schools. A few thematic units are analysed in the opening theoretical part. They focus on questions of constructivist approach, their resources and related pre-concepts and also taxonomy of fundamental fields in technical education. In the second, practical part of the thesis, an actual level of preconcepts structuring while using a questionarry is taken. Its content is unfinished sentences, assessment scales and cognitive maps. Research included 302 respondents from the 5th grades of primary schools. Owing to the questionnary method and cognitive maps, there were preconcept data established. This information was consequently processed in terms of quantity and quality. The subject of the investigation were preconcepts: wood, hand brake, gluing, cutting, strength, flexibility, material recycling, safety at work. The preconceptions cutting, flexibility, material recycling and safety at work was found inadequate incorporation students in cognitive maps. The realised research tries to lighten the practical realisation of the educational process of technical education at primary school level.
Ideas for Excursions in the Practical Activities Subject in Primary School

This thesis focuses on excursions in the subject for Practical Activities in Primary School and presents a number of possible destinations. The theoretical part focuses on the developement of independant thinking in pupils, theory of teaching with a focus on constructivism and the explanation of key terms: technical thinking, technical skills, creativity in general, and technical creativity. Further, the current modus operandi of subjects focussed on technical developement in the Framework Educational Programme for Elementary Education, using excursions as a form of teaching and including activating methods aplicable in excursions, is described. The pracital part presents fifteen possible excursions with follow-up lessons. The efficacy and functionality of these was tested using questionaires filled out by practitioning teachers in elementary education. Additionally, two of the presented excursions were realized in third grade classes.
