66 The aim of this Bachelor Thesis is to portray the life of the war hero, František Fajtl after the year 1945. In this part of his life the author focuses on the arrest, imprisonment and the persecution by the Communist regime in general. The first chapter shows a brief biography ended at the end of the World War II. Following block of chapters deals with more detailed description of František Fajtl's life in the era of the totalitarian regime. The closing chapters investigate both the lecturing and publishing activities of the fighter pilot and his perception of the Velvet Revolution and the following events. Many valuable primary sources have been used in this Bachelor Thesis. These sources should support the authenticity of the work. The appendix is very rich in this way.
