Detection of Dynamic Network Applications
Oroš, Petr ; Kaštil, Jan (referee) ; Tobola, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with the detection of dynamic network applications. It describes a general method for detection of any application layer protocol and automatically searches for the detection rules. The practical part deals with general detection protocol to the automatically generated designs. A special section is devoted detect bittorrent protocol.
Anonymization of users when collecting network traffic
Hamár, Lukáš ; Blažek, Petr (referee) ; Sikora, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with anonymization of data, which could lead to disclosure of the identity of end users in network traffic. Work describes algorithms by which individual data parts are anonymized and also tools which use these techniques for network traffic anonymization. The next part of the thesis describes construction of a laboratory network, in which is the network traffic captured, containing pcap and NetFlow data. With using of the captured data, the anonymization tools are tested and the results are compared. In the last part of the thesis is created graphical interface for one of the tested anonymization softwares.
Wireless networks security analysis
Szőcs, Juraj ; Vychodil, Petr (referee) ; Vymazal, Michal (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with analysis of security in wireless networks. There are desc- ribed various methods of security systems, such as WEP, TKIP and CCMP. There is also realization of attacks against the wireless network and there is analysis of security weaknesses. Then there are discussed possible defense mechanisms. Part of this work was also analysis of local security in certain areas and evaluation of their security.
Analysis of WiFi Traffic at the BUT
Lacina, Vojtěch ; Matoušek, Petr (referee) ; Čejka, Rudolf (advisor)
This work inquires into problem of current wifi traffic on VUT. The traffic has been captured with tcpdump program, anonymized and analyzed in process of creating this work. All this in order to get insight into it's nature. Resulting informations imply the need for traffic shaping which is described later in work. This work tries to determine most fitting means of traffic shaping which would result in improved quality of connection for interactive applications as well as greater satisfaction of provider (VUT) and users.
Network Performance in Virtualized Environment
Hlaváček, Martin ; Puš, Viktor (referee) ; Kaštovský, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with problems concerning network performance in virtualized environment. There is an opening presentation of basics and techniques of virtualization. It describes network communication issues on virtualized environment such as Xen, KVM and VMware. There are also mentioned factors affecting network communication. Finally the performance of those environments is measured and results are analyzed.
IT/OT modular honeypot

Interception of network traffic
Fišer, Tomáš ; Vasilenko, Alexandr (advisor) ; Tyrychtr, Jan (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with possibilities of security breaches of network communication and principles of its interception. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical part, which contains the principles of computer networking and describes the methods of hacking into the network, and on the practical part, which demonstrates capturing of data using the methods described above. There is also shown the danger of using unencrypted protocols. Program called Ettercap was used for this demonstrations and for the interception of data was used program called Wireshark.
