Třinec - Residential Zone Design

The aim of the Bachelor´s thesis is to design a residential zone in a designated area in the village Třinec. The subsequent deployment of suitable building plots, including the design of roads and solve the static traffic. The proposal itself was created in three variants. The best variant is further elaborated in detail.

Assessment of soils using pollution indices

Subject of this diploma thesis is analysis of selected heavy metals in soils which are exposed to long-time cause of contaminants from metallurgical industry in localities Třinec and Ostrava. For assessment of the contamination, indexes for evaluation of soils were chosen. Those indexes are focusing mainly on rate of enrichment of the soils by selected heavy metals and resulting ecological and possibly health risk for human organism. Within every location, 26 samples were extracted, while every sample extract location, were selected to map the level of pollution around metallurgical plants in the most complex way. The analysis of the samples was done by techniques F-AAS and AMA 254 and established metals were mercury, lead, copper, chrome, nickel, manganese and zinc.

Černé skládky, vznik, aktivita, inventarizace v lokalitě Třinec

This bachelor thesis is named Illegal dumps, their formation, activity, inventory in locality of Třinec. In the thesis the basic legislation of waste management is characterized, followed by description of waste system in the city of Třinec and the surrounding villages. The main part of the thesis deals with the issue of illegal dumps. In that specific area their occurrence was monitored for almost two years and the changes were examined during this period. The result of the thesis is evaluating and consequences of illegal dumps on the environment, including the prevention and possible solutions of the impact of these dumps.

Rekreační aktivity pylových alergiků ve zvoleném území

The content of the bachelor thesis is to determine through a questionnaire which outdoors recreational activities are pursued by people suffering with pollen allergies, and whether (or how) the allergy sufferers are limited in these activities. For this purpose, Třinec, a town lying at the foot of the Beskydy Mountains in an area with high air pollution, was selected. This thesis also deals with the evaluation of real potentials and real effects of the current state of the socio-recreational and health-hygienic function of forests in places most frequently visited by Třinec residents, i.e. Forest park Třinec and Javorový. The methodology by Vyskot, et al. (2003) is used for the evaluation.
