Smart Card side channels
Pospíšil, Karel ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Sobotka, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis is dealing with smart cards and describes the known types of side channel attacks. Smart card belongs into the group of the youngest and smartest cards. In the card body, made mostly from PVC, there is a chip inserted which contains a microprocessor.Side channel attacks are trying to use the leaking information from the physical implementation of the system while processing the cryptographic algorithm. The attacker is trying to use the leaking sensitive information because under certain circumstances it can be dependent on the input data. The theoretical part is devoted to description of smart cards, their types and their safety. It describes the classification of attacks on smart cards and includes the overview of selected cryptographic algorithms used in smart cards. It also describes selected physical and logical attacks and the most frequent side channel attacks. The thesis furthermore describes possibilities of measuring the voltage-current side channel. The practical part deals with used software and hardware. This section is devoted to the measurement of power specification of smart cards and to the analysis of processed information, using the oscilloscope and workstation with AD 622 card and Simulink development environment.
Network element project by means of neural network
Pokorný, Petr ; Krček, Petr (referee) ; Šťastný, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis deal with a priority network switch whose model was made in programming environment Matlab - Simulink. Problem of optimal switching is solved by Hopfield’s artificial neural network. Produce of the diploma thesis is a model of packet switch and time-severity comparison of optimalization problem solved with or without artificial neural network. The thesis was developed in research project MSM 0021630529 Intelligent Systems in Automation.
Usability of Simulink for Laundry Process Modeling
Sobočík, Robert ; Bobák, Petr (referee) ; Kuba, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is devided into two parts. First part is a bibliographic search and speaks about maths modeling, simulations, a MATLAB Simulink programme, and a laundy process. Second part deals with a math model of an industrial laundry. In this part, there is a detailed descripton of the model and how the model was created.
Equalization of the transmission channel
Žlebek, Lukáš ; Šilhavý, Pavel (referee) ; Číž, Radim (advisor)
This thesis describes a design of a simulation of transmission of digital information via communication system and equalization of communication function. The layout of communication channel with multiway transmission is described in following part. Next part is about hardware modulator which generate modulated signal which is transmitted via communication channel and after is sampled by A/D convertion card to computer, where is equalizated and demodulated in Simulink. In the last part of this thesis, there is proposal of the laboratory task and its sample solution.
Modeling of electrical components vehicles
Kósa, Valentin ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with the issue of electric vehicles. In thesis’s outset is overview about sources of electric power and types of electric engines applicable for electric vehicles. The main part of this document is creating model of vehicles with engine and source of power for them in Simulink. The resulting model includes models of ultracapacitor and synchronous motor with permanent magnets. Vehicles in model is presented by load of electric engine. In last part of document are executes ride simulations on the model which was created and subsequently simulations are analyzed.
Mobile Signal Generator for ECU Calibration
Pauliuchenka, Aliaksandr ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is a mobile electrical signal generator for the calibration of an Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The thesis primarily offers an analysis of the electrical signals that enter the control unit. It then describes the process of developing the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) used in the generator, the C++ programs for the microcontrollers used, and the software for controlling and programming the test scenarios. Finally, the thesis concludes by measuring the output signals of the generator with an oscilloscope and testing the connection to an open ECU. Based on these tests, the functionality of the generator was evaluated.
