Vliv klimatických podmínek na chování ovcí
BLEHOVÁ, Zuzana
The objective of this thesis was to record the basic categories of behaviour of the sheep breed Suffolk under different climatic conditions throughout the year. The flock of meat sheep breed was grazed with the possibility of entry into the stables. Monitored were the basic categories of behaviour: movement, standing, lying down, feed intake. Comfortable behaviour, sexual behaviour, maternal behaviour, and water intake were monitored by frequency method. Four monitoring were carried out in total by interval method (interval length 10 min) for 24 h during the year (spring, summer, autumn and winter). Monitored was 68 pcs sheep of the basic herd and 3 breeding rams. In all observations the most represented categories were feed intake and lying. The longest feed intake period of sheep was in the winter 47.5 % of day at very low temperatures i.e. up to 10 °C. On the contrary, in the summer, at very high temperatures, sheep favoured the laying of 50 % per the day. In contrast the shortest time was dedicated to standing and movement. The shortest period of standing was recorded in the summer, when sheep stood 5.8 % of the day, and the shortest period of movement was recorded in the fall with the representation of 9.2 %. Climatic conditions greatly influence the grazing regime of sheep. Among the factors that disrupt the daily routine of the animals belonged heavy rain, thunderstorm, and high temperatures.
Vlivy působící na masnou užitkovost ovcí
MALÍK, Dominik
The Thesis The factors affecting sheep meat yield is concentrating on lamb growth ability and the factors which can positively or negatively affect this ability. The basic findings of previous researches and analyses are mentioned at the beginning of the thesis followed by basic classification of lamb meat yield factors. Subsequently, there is an explanation of author's own research where the selected factors were empirically tested. The research took place between years 2013 and 2016 on one flock of sheep on pastures of Orlicke hory region. The birth weight and the weight gain of lambs were monitored in order to evaluate effects of gender, feeding rations and number of lambs in one litter on weight gain ability of each reared lamb. The research has shown that the most important factor is the correct setting of feeding rations while the initial birth weight is mostly influenced by the number of lambs in one litter. On the other hand, the research was unable to prove the effect of gender on the weight gain.
Pastoralism in the East Tatras national parks. Cultural and ecological context in present
Bohušová, Ivana ; Matoušek, Václav (advisor) ; Ložek, Vojen (referee)
Shepherd's expansion into the Eastern Tatras valleys started latest in the 14th century. The peak of the pastoralism was Walachian colonization in the 16th century. Shephards usually used to drive out their herd (to pasture) to an altitude over 2000 meters above the sea level. The damage caused by grazing has grown to such proportions that pasturage was prohibited in some areas. After the establishment of the Tatra National Park the pastoralism in the High Tatras and Belianske Tatras in Slovakia was completely banned. In Poland shepherding was recovered in the form of cultural pasture, which is being regulated under strict conditions to prevent damage to the environment, after about 30 years long pause in the territory of Tatrzański Park Narodowy. The main objective of my thesis is to find out whether it would be possible to bring back the grazing to the territory of the Tatra National Park. If yes, then under what specific conditions, with what advantages or disadvantages, in its comprehensive perspective, not only natural but also socio-cultural. I took inspiration from the cultural pasture in Poland, and I was interested in the negatives of regulated grazing as well. I made my research in the form of semi-structured interviews with experts and with general public. The results of the empirical...

Vyhodnocení plodnosti plemene zwartbles ve vybraném chovu
STAŇKOVÁ, Dana
The aim of this thesis was evaluate fertlility of the Zwartbles sheep in zhe flock of sheep breed by Mrs. Marie Schickerová. In the reporting period of 3 years (2013 2015) were a total of 261 ewes evaluated by the followinf parameters: fertlization, reproduction intensity, total rearing, infertility, rearing of lambs born and total mortality of lambs. Basic reproductive parameters were compared with the flocks originating from the Union sheep and goats of the Czech Republic. They were monitored factors that have or may have an impact on fertility. The first factor was the impact of age on fertility, selected second order lambing and the last was the influence line. The average fertility of the herd reached 200,39%. The average share of fertilization was assessed at 91,98%. Sterility reached the level of 8,02 %. The amount of the total breeding herd stood at 159,76%. Intensity of production reached 184,34 %. Mortality was 13,34% and thus survival rate of lambs was 86,66 %. Based on calculations, it was found a hightly significant effect of age and rank lambing fertility. Influence line was not clearly demonstrated. Statistical evaluation of indicators of fertility, the intensity of reproduction, fertilization and overal breeding showed differences in the average monitored herds compared with herds in the performance tests. In the observed herd these values were significantly higher.
Mléčná užitkovost plemene lacaune ve vybraném chovu
CHODCOVÁ, Anna
This thesis deals with the influence of age of Lacaune breed ewes on milk performance (milk yield and the content of individual components of milk). The length of lactation was also evaluated. Data from farm Statek Horní Dvorce s.r.o. were used and entries from years 2012, 2013 and 2014, when the milk performance was monitored by method AT. With the view of the fact that the standardized lactation in 2012 was set on 240 days while since 2013 the required length was 150 days, the year 2012 was not included into the comparison due to dubiousness of the results. The influence of age of an ewe on total milk yield in the studied farm is not clear and cannot be established with significant certainty, although in the studied years the milk performance was higher than the average in the Czech republic. In the 2013 was the total milk yield 323 kg of milk and in the 2014 was 307,4 kg of milk. The findings of basic milk parameters of individual components of milk show that the age of an ewe has an influence on the components. With growing age the content of fat was decreasing. At three-year-old ewes the content of fat was 7.36%, while at four-year-olds the content reached only 7.3%. The content of lactose also seemed to decrees with age. At three-year-old ewes the content of lactose was 4.86%, while at four-year-olds the content was 4.63%. However, the content of protein had growing tendency. At three-year-old ewes the content of protein was 5.61%, while at four-year-olds the content was 5,89%. Further was evaluated the length of lactation. It was shown an increase in the average length of lactation as they get older ewes, but the effect on lactation length was also the start date of the dry period of herd.
Analýza metabolických a reprodukčních ukazatelů ovcí ve vybraném chovu plemene suffolk
OUŘEDNÍKOVÁ, Kateřina
The aim of the study was to analyze the reproductive, productive and metabolic values of ewes from selected parameters in blood, milk and urine in correlation to their metabolic state. The results were used to draw up new breeding and feeding schemes. The research was carried out in 2015, and the sample size consisted of 62 Suffolk ewes. The analysis of reproductive parameters of selected ewes confirms appropriately chosen breeding methods. The average weight of lambs at birth (3,82 kg) is affected by the number of lambs at birth. The average weight of lambs at 100 days of age (32,54 kg) depends on the number of lambs per ewe and the age of ewe. The average daily weight gain makes 0,325 kg per lamb. Lowered concentration of proteins related to the decreased level of urea in the blood plasma signifies insufficient intake of nitrogen of ewes from feed.
Sledování morfologické stavby vemen u plemene zwartbles
MACHO, Michal
This thesis deals with the monitoring of morphological structures udder of breed zwartbles. Measurements were performed at 77 selected ewes Measured values for individual dimensions: Depth of udder reaches an average size of 17.74 cm. Width of udder reaches an average size of 14.77 cm and average length of the teat has a value of 3.11 cm. Based on measured values it shows, that breed zwartbles has potential for milk production as is the case in sheep improved Wallachian and Lacaune The position of the teats has an average value of 2.22 points. The teats are directed slightly to the side and are located at the lower edges of the udder. Clamping of the udder has an average value 2.08 points. The Clamping is broad and overall space between the rear legs is almost the entire filled Split udder has an average value of 2.53 points. The splitting is weak, but distinct and hanging ligament is perceptible. Monitoring diseases and disorders of the udder in the years 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. In year 2013, was the incidence of disorders on the value of 6.72%. In year 2014, this number had a value of 10.34%. In year 2015, equal to 5% and in year 2016 5.7%. This was the shortage of milk, the teat ducts impassibility and infections
Growth performance of lambs Šumava sheep (SO) and hybrids Šumava sheep and Suffolk (ŠOxSu)
KRÁLOVÁ, Anežka
Sheep farming is very suitable agricultural sectors in mountain and foothill areas. In recent years it has become increasingly popular. The indisputable advantage sheep's landscape maintenance by grazing land and in difficult to reach locations. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the growth performance of lambs and sheep hybrids Bohemian Sumava sheep and Suffolk. Literature research is focused on selected breeds of sheep and their distribution in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the use of sheep and their impact on the landscape, growth performance of lambs and factors influencing growth. On the basis of the records and own calculations were made by the research found that the highest average value of the monitored herd of crossbred ewe lambs reached Šumava sheep and Suffolk sheep breed, this value was 41.6 kg.
Lymphoid organs of sheep
DOLEŽALOVÁ, Radka
Sheep are used as model animals for experimentation not only in many areas of livestock breeding but also in some fields of study within biomedicine. Immune system and changeability of its components is an indicator of resistance and a level of homeostatic mechanisms and adaptability as well. This bachelor's thesis deals with an immune system of sheep which is represented by lymphatic organs in particular. Cells, primarily and secondary lymphatic organs, their structure, localization and functions are described in separate chapters. Significant part of the thesis is devoted to lymphatic tissue associated with mucosa.
