Windows Communication Foundation Services
RYSKA, Petr
The main aim of this work is to introduce an candidates with a new perspective technology Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) from Microsoft Corporation. All in understandable and acceptable form of comprehensive examples. In several lessons, student will learn about creating and setting the application client - server created with WCF technology. In the teaching material, take into account my knowledge in the study of WCF.
IDS system SNORT
MAURIC, Jakub
This work deals with Intrusion Detection Systems. It divides them into categories and describes their functions. It describes examples of their using. It deals primary with IDS System Snort, content of them and with an example of their implementation into an existing system. This document will be used like a short compact manual which describes a necessary theory of Intrusion Detection Systems and possibilities of their practical using.
PACS (Picture archiving and communicating system), confrontation advantages and disadvantages two systems
ČECHOVÁ, Petra
The system PACS ( Picture archiving and communicating system) was developed in medical institutions because of all the time increasing requirements on images elaborated at digital imaging machines. The thesis deals with the basic definition of Picture archiving and communication system (PACS), explains basic definitions and importance of contemporary valid definition for DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine). It further deals with possibilities offered by PACS, especially its linking with existing hospital information system. There are mentioned advantages, disadvantages, risks and usage of this system in medicine. The aim of my thesis is comparison of two communications systems for archiving and image transmission. The research processed in Teaching Hospital of Saint Anna in Brno and in Masaryk Oncology Institution thanks to description of system structure and sent questionnaires on this topic.
Linux terminal server for thin client and computing cluster
JALŮVKA, Adam
The goal of this work is to aquaint the reader with projects LTSP and openMosix. The complex sollution of the terminal server and the computing cluster with an automatic load balancing is created on the basis of these projects. This work is not only aimed at projects which are already capable to stay independently next to each other, but it is also aimed at the linkage of projects which produce benefits. The first advantage is the ability of an easy connection of new nodes to the computing cluster without the need of installation. The second advantage is that nodes can contribute with its systems resources to the terminal server and other clients.
IPv6 support in smaller Internet service provider.
Pangrác, Vojtěch ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Beneš, Jiří (referee)
This work is aimed at new Internet protocol version 6. This protocol is firstly described generally. Then I have intoduced several common, generally respected IPv6 transition. The last part is oriented on real transition model, which is described on company from Rakovnik. This company figured as local Internet service provider. This solution includes individual phase of transition, opinions and evaluation from my colleagues and also timetable and financial plan. The model, which I think out could be available for most of smaller internet service providers.
Virtualization aplication for monitoring networks
Kafka, Jan ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Gála, Libor (referee)
Virtualization is a promising information technology industry today. Whether for reasons of economies, achieve high availability of services, or facilitate the administration etc., gets more and more benefits. With the development of virtualization has been the transition from simple emulation, which was simply procesed as the code processor and simulated a complete computer, the hardware assisted emulation or Paravirtualization make the directing of this process has become almost negligible - literature generally indicates less than three percent. Virtualization also opens the way into the most demanding server applications, where in addition to high availability of services depends also on the optimal use of available hardware resources. The first part is a description of the reasons brought the benefits of deploying a virtualization server environment. The following section discusses virtualization techniques, their characteristics, advantages and disadvantages and most common server virtualization products. In the next chapter are explained the ways to achieve high service availability in a virtualized server environment, and examples of products of VMware, which is the industry leader. Chapter discussed concepts such as cold migration, live migration, technology VMware High Availability, VMware Fault Tolerance, and more. The last chapter is devoted to the practical part of the bachelor thesis. Describes hardware preparation for the experimental environment, the setup, configuration, problems during preparation laboratory network and the installation of dedicated virtualization product, VMware ESX 4.0 64bit. In last part will be describe installation and configuration monitoring software, OpenNMS on server virtualization. At the end, will be examination how fail activities impact on virtualization monitoring software and how rescue this software application VMware ESX 4.0.
Building and exploitation of smaller enterprise computer network
Holubička, Pavel ; Pinkas, Otakar (advisor) ; Šmejkal, Ivo (referee)
The main aim of this work is to describe the gradual building, exploitation, and dissemination of specific enterprise computer network in the Czech company VHL Ltd. The pivotal challenge was not only write down the process, but in practice also the extension of the network by server, the wireless segment, and the connection of two remote computer networks with reference not only to functionality, but also for safety. To achieve the results it was therefore necessary to combine theory with practice. Individual work procedures have been tried, tested and evaluated. In the negative results the whole process had to be repeated several times so. In the bachelor's thesis, there are many instructions on what to do in setting up individual network services as well as ensure their security. The first chapter deals with the theoretical knowledge about LAN and WLAN networks. More closely are describe various standards, network elements and their characteristics, and provided services. The second examines the evolution from the beginnings to the present network. More detailed is describe the enlarging of the wireless network, its construction, security, and testing. The point of third chapter is to give overall view of the extension by network server. It describes the choice of hardware with using multicriterial selection, and the selection, evaluation and installation of the operating system. Subsequently, it deals with hardware and software security of the server and with connection of the remote networks through VPN instrument. In conclusion, there are attended a few words to the potential innovation.
virtualization stations
Vlček, Michal ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Havlíček, Jan (referee)
This thesis aims to explain virtualization and its use for the implementation of virtual classrooms. Reader is gradually introduce, what is virtualization, how virtualization works, what has parts, what are the technologies used and how many is this virtualization. Reader is gradually acquaint with the concept of virtual classroom, how virtual classroom works and what are the solutions of virtual classrooms. Individual solutions of virtual classroom are explained and compared. At the end of this work is the selection of solutions virtual classrooms, and example of actual implementation of virtual classrooms, including the price of solution. The work has to show possible and effective solution of the virtual classrooms.
High availability storage for virtualized servers
Zvala, Tomáš ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Borka, Michal (referee)
This thesis aims at providing basic overview of technologies capable of providing high-availability for virtualized servers. It focuses mostly on technologies that are cheap and available even to the smallest companies. Reader is presented with an introduction to hardware technologies, that can be used to connect storage, software technologies available to share the storage and finaly there is a quick introduction to virtualization solutions of major market players. Aim of the project part of this thesis is to explore the options of building small virtualization cluster based only on common hardware and opensource technologies on Linux platform.
Team cooperation servers as a service
Oudrnický, Jan ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Tichý, Vladimír (referee)
This thesis aims to analyze current situation on the field of team cooperation serv-ers on the Internet, mostly in the area of open source software, It also shows the basic ideas, which are behind the service and the actual application, for which is going to present examples of practical application.
