Financial Analysis of Company SPORTEN, a.s.

Goal of this Bachelor's Thesis is to evaluate the financial state of company SPORTEN, a.s. according to methods of the financial analysis. Subject of the analysis are years 2009 -- 2013 and the continuous progress of financial situation of the company based on its financial statements. The analysis consists of absolute ratios, financial ratios, capital assets pricing model, economic value added, Du Pont analysis, Kralick quick test, Altman bankruptcy model and a comparison with a competitor. The thesis is divided into theoretical part, where the basic terms and used methods are explained, and into practical part, where they are applied to the actual situation in the company. Based on this thesis, it is possible to state that the company is in tougher years of its existence, however, it is still profitable and further improvement of the situation may come. Nevertheless, the company will still be strongly influenced by unforeseeable external impacts, mainly by the intensity of winter season.
Financial and economic analysis of sports equipment manufacturer and distributor

The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to evaluate financial health of Sporten, a.s., which is the leading company producing skiing equipment on the Czech market. The thesis is focused on economic activities between years 2007 - 2011 and the techniques used in the course of analysis are described in the theoretical part. In the practical part the defined methods are applied to the selected company and then the results are interpreted. The business diagnosis is performed from the perspective of external analyst, therefore no internal financial statements were used. As a main source of information for the analysis were mostly used publicly available annual reports and financial statements.
