Integration policy in relation to war refugees from Ukraine from the perspective of the theory of the Social Construction of Target populations

This diploma thesis deals with the integration of Ukrainian war refugees from the beginning of the war in Ukraine (February 2022) to the end of 2023. The aim of this thesis is to identify the transformation of policy design in the field of integration policy, which has been implemented towards the target population of Ukrainian war refugees, with whose mass influx the Czech Republic has had to deal with from the beginning. The thesis tries to identify the influence of the resulting policy design according to the proposed tools and narrative statements of members of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic towards the target population of Ukrainian war refugees on the basis of the application of the Theory of Social Construction of Target Populations. The research is carried out in the form of a case study in which the primary source of data is in the form of stenographic records from the Chamber of Deputies and these records are analysed afterwards.
