Perception of successful parenthood in today's Czech Republic

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe perception of successful parenting by today's parents, grandparents and professionals, which are working with families. The first part of bachelor thesis describes family, parental roles, parenting styles and understanding of good, successful parenting. The thesis emphasizes the description of the changes of each phenomena in time and the historical context of these changes. The second part of bachelor thesis describes qualitative mapping research. The aim of research is to map intergenerational shift in perception of successful parenthood. Aspects of successful parenting will be identified through interviews with today's parents, grandparents and psychologists and pediatricians.
