Res gestae Divi Augusti and its echoes in the Roman historiography and biography.
Kubát, Cyril ; Marek, Václav (advisor) ; Prchlík, Ivan (referee)
The main task of this master's thesis is a comparison of the content of Res gestae Divi Augusti with the selected works of ancient historians and biographers (especially Suetonius Velleius Paterculus and Tacitus) with a subsequent assessment of whether Res gestae could have been used as a "historical outline" to describe Augustus' reign. I will also try to briefly consider whether the text of the Res gestae could have affected the works of ancient historiography and biography.
