Design of reflector antenna for special radar applications

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis was to design small parabolic reflector antenna in program CST Microwave Studio and it’s execution and verifying of it’s parameters by the laboratory measurements. Basic demands were rational proportions of the antenna and it’s good electrical properties, especially optimization of impedance matching and directional characteristics.
Carrier Frequency Generator for Portable Radar Signal Simulator

This thesis deals with the analysis and solution source for carrier frequency generator for portable radar signal simulator. This simulator is tunable in the frequency range from 2 GHz to 18 GHz and as it´s frequency source generator is used YIG oscillator for its very high frequency realignment. Simulator provides output power up to 1W on the SMA connector which can be connect to internal antenna by using jumper cable. To achieve this output power will be used by semiconductor amplifier.

The topic of this thesis relates to the state-of-art technologies and systems used for airport ground movements monitoring and guidance. Emphasis is placed on mode S of SSR, its characteristics, applications and avionics requirements. This thesis further comprises analysis of Brno - Turany Airport and it presents a new multilateration system including economical analysis, which would be used for aerodrome ground movements monitoring.
