Local diagnostic reference levels for typical radiographic procedures
Malchar, Jakub ; Macura, Lukáš (referee) ; Suk, Ladislav (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis explores the topic of setting local diagnostic reference levels for typical radiographic procedures. Theoretical part presents background information about radiation in general and theoretical calculation procedure. Practical part contains specific calculation demonstration with evaluation of possible deviation of results.
Laboratory exercise for RTG imaging systems
Kuchař, Otakar ; Macíček, Ondřej (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to study the X-ray and computed tomography. The theoretical section explains the basic physical principles, elementary particle, atom and ionizing. The following parts of the thesis deal with topics from the origin and various types of X-ray, to interaction of X-ray with tissue and X-ray detection. For computed tomography the thesis also explains data collection, the reconstruction of image using simple back projection, filtered back projection and algebraic reconstruction. In the practical part are analysed several measurements which were taken in the X-ray chamber designed for educational purposes by Leybold. The topics solve the attenuation of X-rays depending on the type and thickness of the material and the spectrum of the X-ray radiation. In the field of computerized tomography solve tasks as the change of contrast, parameters of acquisition and methods for reconstruction. The work includes prepared sample solutions to a laboratory experiments.
X-ray beam hardening effect simulation
Milek, Jakub ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Drastich, Aleš (advisor)
At the beginning of this work the physics related background and it’s interaction with matter is described, followed by explanation of filters influence on X-ray spectrum. Linear attenuation coefficient is described and so are other related physical quantities. In the end the description of a simulator is presented.
The influence of radiological assistant on elimination of errors during PA chest projection
Feltlová, Julie ; Suchánek, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Adla, Theodor (referee)
The topic of my work is "The role of a radiological assistant in the elimination of the mistakes during the postero-anterior view of the chest". I was particularly interested in this topic because it was the one I wished to get acquainted with in each and every detail, from the very beginning of the examination till its end. The X-ray is kind of a electromagnetic wave with the wave-length ranging from 10-9 to 10-11 metres. The X-ray machine consists of the X-ray emitter and the generator. The heart of the X-ray machine is an electrode pair, a cathode and a tungsten anode, that is pegged inside a glass vacuum tube. An X-ray picture is a two-dimensional picture of a plastic subject. Iťs a summarizing picture, that means it contains information about all tissues without order. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The preparation of a patient before parenteral aplication of an iodine contrast material
ŘÍHOVÁ, Veronika
This bachelor thesis is paid to issues of patient before examination iodine contrast agent on radiodiagnostic department and position and role of this department in this issue. Any diagnostic or therapeutic intervention is to exercise personal freedom and the majority of patients and to his physical integrity, and brings you a health risk to the investigated. It is impossible that such services are carried out without the knowledge and consent of the patient. For all examinations, when the patient is administered iodine contrast agent, according to Decree No 385/2006 Coll., The medical documentation required, signed by the patient, informed consent to the exercise. The patient has every right to refuse to exercise and choose a different procedure. Part of this work is also given informed consent forms with the performance of the various radiodiagnostic work and their mutual comparison and evaluation. Just completely and correctly filled out informed consent to the exercise leads to a successful beginning of each examination using iodine contrast agent. The final part of work is devoted to exploration of clarity, informed consent in patients investigated iodine contrast agent at five different medical services South Moravian Region.
