Design of complex sensor node for LoRa network
Obrtáč, Tomáš ; Sova, Václav (referee) ; Chalupa, Jan (advisor)
This thesis covers development of complex sensor for LoRa network. The thesis is extended by theoretical section, which explains basic properties of Lora network. Theoretical section also covers analysis of software and hardware products on market. The practical part of thesis is focused on creation of complex sensor and development of complete server for its operation. In the hardware part is described method of choosing the right sensors, designing the PCB and description of important parts. Software development is described from acquisition of network server, through creating the computer application, to programming the MCU.
Beehive Scale
Žilka, Martin ; Musil, Tomáš (referee) ; Novák, Lukáš (advisor)
The focus of this bachelor‘s thesis is to retrieve available information about possibilities of solution design of a beehive scale, which should be used in the countryside and has the option of remote data sending. The next step is to build a prototype of that scale. The introductory part contains a parameter description of eight types of commercial beehive scales. The next part is focused on principles, positives and negatives of some commercial weight sensors. The following section deals with communication interfaces used in the IoT. In conclusion is made a selection of the most appropriate technologies for remote weighing beehives, based on the previous research. The last part is devoted to the description of prototype construction.
Performance Measurement of LoRa/LoRaWAN Communication
Lorenc, Tomáš ; Kubíček, Michal (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
This project focused on describe LoRa/LoRaWAN wireless communication that enables power-efficient wireless communication over very long distances. It describes also LoRaWAN infrastructure The Things Network for merging several LoRaWAN devices into one network. The practical part defined measuring equipment, chosen electric parts, and final realization. The main goal of this work is a performance and range measurement of LoRaWAN communication by change communication options. The experiment result is compared with theoretical results. It generates an interactive map of radio range from the experiment result.
GPS locator for IoT network
Šulc, Patrik ; Tomíček, Pavel (referee) ; Žilka, Martin (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on build a GPS locator communicating wirelessly over IoT networks. The GPS locator sends an alert when motion is detected. The device is powered by batteries with minimal maintenance. The goal is to achieve minimum dimensions. The work first focuses on the survey of commercially available equipment. Subsequently, there is a summary of available ways of sensing device movement, accurate device location and sending messages to the Internet of Things using LoRaWAN. After a search of components, the practical design of the device is presented in the work.
