Measurement of biosignals with usage of Biopac system
Rageh, Akram ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
This work describes a brief overview of measurement of Electroencephalography (EEG), Electromyography (EMG), Electrooculography (EOG), Electrocardiography (ECG) and theirs usage. Subsequently is described how these biosignals can be measured with Biopac system. The measurement of electrocardiography is described in detail, including ECG curve description, Biopac measurement system and R-R intervals analysis based on measurement of group of volunteers.
Load effect on baroreflex sensitivity
Kamenec, Jan ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
KAMENEC, J. Load effect on baroreflex sensitivity. Brno: Brno University of technology, Faculty of electrical engineering and communication, 2008. 52 p. Supervisor of bachelor’s thesis Ing. Jana Bardoňová, Ph.D. The aim of this baccalaureate thesis was study problems of the metering baroreflex and verify, whether the physical stress affects baroreflex sensitivity. The metering proceeded on the computer system Biopac, in which was projected the record of the metering. For the calculation was elected noninvasion spectral method. Measuring data by the computer system Biopac were processed by the help of the Matlab program that worked out found dependencies.
Analysis of Atrial Fibrillation Heart Rate Dynamics
Tesařová, Tereza ; Ronzhina, Marina (referee) ; Hejč, Jakub (advisor)
Bachalor thesis focuses on clinical tracking of heart rate abnormalities to specify the level of variability in diverse-lengthy ECG signals, with a direct way to analyze atrial fibrillation and accuracy increasing its detection of actual available methods. The principle of heart electrophysiology and also the impulse genesis is mentioned in a introductory part of work, including elementary classification of cardiac arrhytmias and their deflection from normal sinus rhythm. The physiological analysis of atrial fibrilation dynamic structure helps with the application of detection algorithms in a MATLAB program and sets an underlying basis for an appropriate discussion in a final statistical ROC analysis.
Methods for the evaluation of heart rate and arterial blood pressure variability
Sedláčková, Gabriela ; Halámek, Josef (referee) ; Leinveber, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with methods for description of heart rate variability and arterial blood pressure. An important mechanism for maintaining homoeostasis in the body is so called baroreflex feedback loop, which allows for a short-term regulation of blood pressure. The thesis contains description of methods which are currently used for baroreflex sensitivity evaluation. Analysis in time domain as well as in frequency domain was done using programs in Matlab environment. At the end of the thesis the influence of ventricular extrasystoles on output parameter is evaluated.
External pacemaker
Lank, Petr ; Rampl, Ivan (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with the problem of heart stimulation by using external pacemaker. Such external pacemaker is used for a short – time stimulation of patient to overcome the time before the implantation of such apparatus. The master´s thesis informs about the basic function of heart and possible heart disorders which are treated by pacemaker. Great deal of master´s thesis is devoted to the design of external pacemaker wiring. This section describes the possibilities of controlling the pacemaker, circuits for detection R-R interval, a design of output circuit eith regard to required of stimulation and pacemaker feeding. The program Pspice was used to check the functional appropriateness of designed circuits and it was successively simulated in a non - soldering field.
Analysis of long-term electrocardiograms
Bazovský, Richard ; Hlaváč, Martin (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
This work is devoted to methodology of long-term treatment (24 hour) ECG signal using Holter’s monitoring with regard to heart rate variability (HRV). Where HRV is observed distances between heart systole (R-Rwaves) following behind or addiction immediate heart rate. Consequently, these processes can be handled in two ways, either by analyzing the time or frequency domain (spectral range). Through evaluation of these waveforms will be possible to determine the condition status of the heart or type of heart failure. In the programming environment Matlab algorithm was developed for the processing of signals at the output which gives the needed results in the form of graphs (HRV) or the values of important parameters. The functionality of the program was tested on several signals and the obtained values were close to the standard.
controlled pacemaker
Csekes, Attila ; Hrozek, Jan (referee) ; Čech, Petr (advisor)
The Thesis deals with the area of cardio stimulation. It describes the different stimulation modes and their specifics. It describes the creation of a virtual cardio stimulator based on R-waves, designed in the LabVIEW application. Part of the thesis is the software realization of the model and the verification of its functionality.
