Design of Protection Relays for MV Distribution Grid
Sochor, Tomáš ; Bukvišová, Zuzana (referee) ; Toman, Petr (advisor)
The master´s thesis deals with the design of medium voltage power line protection and the calculation of reliability indicators. First, it deals with the possibilities of power system operation. Subsequently, it divides the networks according to the grounding of the transformer node and the switching elements and devices occurring in the MV distribution network are mentioned. It presents the basic classification of power line protection and its use, especially it focuses on overhead and cable MV power lines. It also discusses the reliability of the power supply and lists the basic reliability indicators and their possible calculation. The practical part describes the changes in the considered area of the distribution network, where the reconstruction of the power line VN872 and a new way of powering the village Drnholec will take place. The impact of this change on the reliability of the supplied energy is also calculated. Furthermore, the protection of the power line is designed and the correctness of its setting is then verified on the model in the PSS Sincal software.
Comparison of short-circuit current calculations by simulation programs with the standard ČSN EN 60909 ed.2
Procházka, Jiří ; Koudelka, Jan (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the comparison of the short-circuit current calculation for a model example according to the standard IEC 60909-0:2016 with simulation programs. The first part deals with short-circuit in general together with an example of calculation of short-circuit currents. The next part of the master’s thesis deals with creating models of network elements by different simulation programs. The last part deals with dynamic simulation of model example together with programs settings. Finally, the results of simulations are evaluated.
Utilization of SINCAL tool in the field of network protection
Rampák, Dominik ; Wasserbauer, Vojtěch (referee) ; Topolánek, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is describing the basics of using program PSS SINCAL for protection of distribution networks. The thesis is divided into 3 parts. The first part is describing basics and functions of the program. The second part is devoted to the moduls, work with moduls described in form of manuals. The last part is describing creation of test network and simulation of single-phase to ground short-circuit to verify selectivity of the protection devices.
Simulation Of Three-Phase Short Circuit Condition On A Synchronous Machine
Koudelka, Jan
The paper deals with three-phase short circuit current of a synchronous machine. Transient phenomena of the machine during short circuit condition are described in the text. Simulations of this fault were carried out in two different pieces of software – PSCAD and PSS Sincal. Results of simulations are compared to a measurement on a real machine and discussed.
