Energy efficient terraced house

The aim of my diploma thesis is a design of a new energy efficient terraced house in the gap site. Building has two dwelling unit of category 4+kitchenette and 6+ kitchenette. Building has a cellar, two floors and an attic. The cellar structures and horizontal structures are made of reinforced concrete. Sand-lime bricks are used for masonry. The building is covered with gabled roof with timber roof truss. In this building there are used rainwater and renewable energy in a form of electrical energy made by photovoltaic panels.

Measuring of air valves and difusers

This master thesis is focused on the issue of air distribution in residential buildings. The main part of thesis is devoted to experimental testing of diffusers by a smoke test. Achieved results are applied to design of air conditioning in passive house. Radiant heating and energy optimalization in PHPP are also proposed.

Economic and Energy Analysis of Heat Recovery Unit in the Passive House

The aim of this thesis is a detailed economic evaluation of the installation and operation of passive house heat recovery units respectively in terms of energy savings resulting and the financial advantages of systems. The overall analysis is focused on the comparison of the most frequently used conventional energy management system (simple ventilation windows with the central heating based on a gas or electric boiler) with the heat recovery unit. In this work they are also considered financial resources including the “Kotlíková dotace”

Analysis of signaling cascade of protein kinase StkP in Streptococcus pneumoniae

Analysis of signaling cascade of protein kinase StkP in Streptococcus pneumoniae Streptococcus pneumoniae is not only an important human pathogen but also an appropriate model organism to investigate cell division in ovoid bacteria. This bacterium lacks both, NO and Min systems for selection of cell division site. Thus, the mechanism which determines the site of cell division is unknown. Additionally, the genome of S. pneumoniae encodes a single gene for eukaryotic-like serine/threonine protein kinase StkP and a single gene for eukaryotic-like serine/threonine protein phosphatase of PP2C type called PhpP. StkP is one of the main regulators of cell division. Cell division is probably affected by the phosphorylation of its substrates, which include, among others, cell division proteins FtsZ, FtsA, DivIVA, MacP, Jag/KhpB/EloR, and LocZ/MapZ. The aim of the first project of this dissertation thesis is determination of the function of protein LocZ in the cell division. In summary, locZ is not essential, however, it is involved in proper septum placement in S. pneumoniae and our data suggest that it is a positive regulator of Z-ring placement. Cells lacking LocZ are able to form Z-ring, but the Z-ring is spatially misplaced resulting in cell division defects, shape deformation, and generation of unequally sized,...

This thesis deals with the design of passive house, located on a specific building plot in the village Bohdalec in district Žďár nad Sázavou. The first part of thesis contains a theoretical basis for the general explanation of passive house construction. The second part sumarizes the actual design of a passive house, description of the constructions of the house and results of thermal evaluation and energy review of the designed house.

In the text part of this thesis is described procedure of designing the house, materials, which are used in this house, composition and construction of the building. The practical part consist of the draft of the strawbale house, drawings, documentation and other parts regarding about the design of the house.
