The intention of this thesis is to create a procedure for a successful family business handover. The thesis is split into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part summarises, based on research, all theoretical knowledge related to managing and handing over a family business and a closer look at entire process. The practical part includes a case study and an analysis of a specific family business and the exact steps and procedures that will be needed to implement.

Resumé The European Arrest Warrant The aim of my diploma thesis is to analyze the Framework Decision of 13 of June on the European Arrest Warrant and the surrender procedures between Member States (2002/584/JHA), next as "FWD", and how it has contributed to the creation of new simplified and more effective system of extradition of criminals among the Member States of the European Union. The historical development of international judicial cooperation in criminal matters and the extradition procedure will be discussed first in order to understand the need for a new solution for handling with the new forms of organised cross boarder crime in the European Union that were brought by the introduction of the principle of free movement of persons and the abolition of boarder checks after the Schengen Agreement. This will lead us to the critical analysis of fundamental principles on which the European Arrest warrant is based, its practical application by the judicial authorities in different Member States and core problematic issues that the daily practise of surrender procedure is nowadays facing. The possible solutions for such questions will be presented, not only on the state but also on the Union level. Optimization of taxation transfer businesses between family members

The diploma thesis is focused on generational change in the family business and apprises of the development, status and advantage of running a family business in the Czech Republic and worldwide. Furthermore, the diploma thesis focuses on sociological and tax obstacles in connection with the process of business transformation. It examines the impact of direct taxes on possible options of transferring the business which is carried on under a trade license. The main options are as follows: the transfer to limited liability company, the transfer to trust, the transfer to sell or giving the business free of charge. The theoretical findings are applied to the particular case concerning the transfer of the family business from father to his son.
Family Business in a Chosen Region of The Czech Republic

The aim of my bachelor work "Family business in the selected region of Czech Republic" was to analyse business in that region. The first step presented the study of special literature and define the term family business. Then I did marketing research in the chosen area for which I selected questionnaire method. Afterwards I concentrated on the preparation of case studies. For this work I chose 2 companies: Regina {--} packing materials and Jan Pondělík {--} bakery and confectionery. At the end of each case study I suggested some recommendations for both firms.
