The Work with the Bible in small groups

Abstract The theoretical part of this thesis is based on a treatise about work with the Bible in ecclesiastical documents, primarily in the constitution Dei Verbum, Verbum Domini and in other Pontifical Biblical Commission documents. This thesis finds out the volume of available literature about the work with the Bible in catholic and non-catholic background and also specifyes the term 'small group' in terms of pastoral work. Practical part of the work describes different ways of biblical work in groups. Summary of methods for work with the Bible is divided into two categories. Methods in the first category are accessible to everyone, educated moderator is needed in the second one. Both categories provide characterization of commonly used processes. Results are evaluated in the terms of suitability for specific age group and according to other criteria also.
