Predicting spark-ignition engine emissions
Jirout, Petr ; Böhm, Michael (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the possibility of predicting emissions of SI engines. The aim was to create an algorithm for predicting unburned hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide, based on ECU signals. The algorithm is based on practical experiments with SI engines. In the summary, the issues and the possible use of the created algorithm following the incorporation of EU7 are outlined.
Utilization of carbon dioxide in power engineering
Svoboda, Kryštof ; Sitek, Tomáš (referee) ; Špiláček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the use of carbon dioxide as a source of energy in the form of carbonaceous fuels. The first part describes the possibilities of carbon dioxide capture and its subsequent storage. The second part is dedicated to the conversion of carbon dioxide to carbonaceous fuels. In the third and final part of the thesis, these fuels are then evaluated for their utilization and compared with commonly used fuels.
Emissions from biomass combustion
Ptáček, Pavel ; Lisá, Hana (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with production of gaseous emissions from biomass combustion. It describes how emissions arise and how they affect human health and environment. In experimental part of the thesis emissions were measured and compared for different types of fuel in two combustion devices. Emission classes of combustion devices were also determined.
Measurement of of atmospheric pollution
Dohnal, Jan ; Zimáková, Jana (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with methods of measuring air pollution for gaseous substances. It contains a theoretical analysis of various types of pollution. Classification of pollution sources according to several criteria. It focuses on the creation, harm, use of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide associated therewith. Analysis of various methods of detection for both gases.
Tracking Air Pollutants by Using Wireless Sensor Network
Válek, Tomáš ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Tříska, Vít (advisor)
This thesis discusses design and production of a prototype of a device and implementation of a firmware for this device. Its function is to wirelessly monitor a concentration of pollutants like carbon monoxide and propane-butane in an atmosphere. Motivation is to allow parking of vehicles with engine gaseous fuels in underground collective garages for public use according to ČSN 73 6058 standard. The prototype of the device has been designed so that it could be used not only in collective garages but also in garages of family houses. The device was successfully designed, produced and programmed so that it can be deployed in real-world conditions.
The database of waste incinerators in Europe
Šaldová, Lenka ; Ručka,, Jan (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to describe modern technological processing lines MSW incinerators. Describe individual objects and their links with the principle of thermal combustion. Processes described in the process line will be: waste reception, storage and waste materials, waste pretreatment, loading of waste into the process, thermal treatment of waste, energy utilization and conversion, gas cleaning, disposal of residues from flue gas cleaning, gas discharge, monitoring and control emissions , cleaning and inspection of wastewater treatment and disposal of ash (kiln ash), discharge (disposal) of solid residues. In the second part of this database will be set up incinerators occurring in Europe with basic information (address, website, kiln type, number of lines, the amount of waste incinerated, etc.). The developed database will be created graphs for better clarity and comparison. The database will be accompanied by the emission requirements of individual countries according to the applicable domestic and European legislation.
Influence of traffic volume and meteorological conditions on the air pollution
Vojtěchová, Ivana ; Kotlík, Josef (referee) ; Adamec,, Vladimír (advisor)
Transport, whose intensity year by year increase, has assuredly influence on air quality. This issue solution will be focused especially on localities burden with transport in urban areas. The contribution of transport to increased values of air pollution will be evaluated with regards to meteorological conditions. Background stations from Czech Hydrometeorological Institute categorization will be chosen such as comparative sites. Pollutants emitted from traffic such as particulate matter, nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide will be observed except meteorological conditions.
Using N-hydroxysuccinimidyl formate as a CO source in tandem reactions
Bahramian, Artur ; Matoušová, Eliška (advisor) ; Smrček, Stanislav (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the use of N-hydroxysuccinimidyl formate as a source of CO in tandem reactions. The prepared starting materials were used in a tandem reaction involving cyclic carbopalladation, carbonylation and cross-coupling. The first part of the thesis describes the synthesis of starting material with a six-membered ring and of the selected CO surrogate. These compounds were subjected to a tandem reaction to form a product with a carbonyl group. Furthermore, the reaction conditions were studied and then the efficiency of using the selected formate compared to the gaseous carbon monoxide was compared. Keywords: synthesis, tandem reaction, cross-coupling, N-hydroxysuccinimidyl formate, carbon monoxide

Analýza očekávaných změn množství vzdušných imisí nad územím České republiky v souvislosti s COVID-19
Kotrle, Viktor
This work analyses changes in annual and monthly concentrations for 2019 and 2020 in the Czech Republic. The focus is mainly on the search for changes related to government regulations during the Covid-19 epidemic and thus the overall change in human activity. The analysis is designed in two parts, namely a statistical analysis part and a spatial analysis part over the immission model. Measurements from the stationary stations of the CHMI were used as input data.
