International Trade in Motor Vehicles

This bachelor thesis is focused on the International Trade in motor vehicles, and its importance to the World economy. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the automotive industry from the viewpoint of motor vehicle production , the main flows of the international trade and evaluation of its development within the past few years. This thesis is divided into three parts. The first part briefly describes the automotive industry, deployment of motor vehicle production and overview of the ten biggest manufacturers in the last few years. The second part describes the international automobile trade, development of the world production, export and import over the past few years and prospects of further development. The third part is devoted to a current characterization of automotive markets of the United States of America, the People's Republic of China and the Czech Republic and their significance to the given economies.
Impacts of business cycle on automotive industry in the Czech Republic in 2006-2011 and comparison to Germany, Japan and the USA.

The goal of this diploma thesis is analysis impacts of business cycle on automotive industry in the Czech Republic in 2006-2011 with exclusive focusing on passenger cars. Impacts of business cycle on automotive industry in the Czech Republic are researched on domestic demand development for new passenger cars and on production, domestic sales and export of the three biggest czech automobile producers. Impacts of business cycle on domestic demand for new passenger cars are analyzed with helping numbers of first registrations in the concrete car segments. Development of czech demand for new cars and automotive production in 2006-2011 is compared to demand and passenger cars production development in Germany, Japan and in the USA. The analysis shows that czech demand for new cars was influenced by economic situation in the Czech Republic in 2006-2011. Influence of czech business cycle on automotive production in the Czech Republic was much smaller than influence of business cycle on czech demand for new passenger cars in 2006-2011. This fact is due to significant pro-export orientation of czech automotive production.
Analysis of the implementation of scrapping scheme from the perspective of sustainable development

The theme of the thesis is scrapping scheme, which was in the Czech Republic during years 2009 and 2010 very discussed and that was despite government meetings stretching over a year finally unloaded. The work collect a large amount of information about scrapping schemes, a state contribution on the disposal of car wrecks, mainly about its implementation in several countries, the subsequent tract and analysis of resulting impacts. Based on experience from other countries with an already undertaken scrapping programs are identified potential impacts that could have a scrapping scheme in the case of implementation in the Czech Republic in the future. The work is also examining the effectiveness of Czech government finance earmarked for scrapping scheme. The main goal of the thesis is to answer the question whether the implementation of scrapping scheme in the Czech Republic would be an appropriate anti-crisis tool.
