Drawing funds from the European Union by Czech businesses

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of financial resources from the European Union by the Czech business companies. In the theoretical section is defined the concepts of regional policy, its targets for the period 2007-2013 and the Structural Funds. Specifically, it focuses on the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations. The practical part is based on questionnaire research. The questionnaire was sent to Czech companies which draw from the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations. The goal was to find answers to the following questions: what is the business information on option grants, what is the difficulty of the grant application process and the problems that businesses face.
A project of introduction of ICT into a medium sized enterprise

In the theoretical part, this master thesis deals with ICT, Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations with a focus on the programme of support ICT in Enterprises. Furthermore, with the definition of SMEs and specific features of medium sized enterprise. In the practical part, an ICT project in a chosen company is described and analyzed. The project is evaluated and further opportunities of development of ICT in the company are suggested. The last chapter provides implications from the ICT area for similar businesses.
Effects of publicity on the PR selected grant programs funded by the European Union

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the impact of publicity on public relations for the Operational Programme Entrepreneurship and Innovation since 2007 to 2009. For the impact analysis was used comparison of the communication tools used in each year of the current programming period 2007 - 2013 and a public research organized by the Managing Authority of OPPI and personal survey executed in cooperation with consulting firm. Result of the analysis confirms the basic hypothesis that the publicity carried out within the OPPI does not influence too much the actual number of applicants for grants. It is targeted too broadly and neither the follow-up studies nor evaluations focus on how many entities, which applied for a grant, did so on the basis of publicity, and how this publicity helped them with their applications
Analysis of the Possibilities of Grant Acquisition from Operational Programme Business and Innovation

The topic of this thesis is the support of the small and medium enterprises. The theoretical part deals with the sector of small and medium enterprises, its deffinition, importance and the support of this sector and the development of this support. The practical part is devoted to the analysis of the possibilities of the company ALLEGRO, s. r. o., that manufactures and installates drywall plasterboards and supporting constructions, to obtain subsidy from the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations.

The main object of this thesis is analyse conditions for formation clusters in the Czech republic and possibility their other development. The thesis contains characteristics of the last and present operational programme, which support clusters. The other part of the thesis is analyse of the present situacion of development clusters in particular regions of the Czech republic and their comparison with clusters of Austria. In the ending part of the thesis are summarized all information get from questionnaire and interwiev with manager of the cluster EKOGEN.
The possibilities for the development and support of small and medium enterprises in the region of Sokolov

The main objective of the thesis was to analyze selected forms of support for small and medium enterprises and their exploitation in the Sokolov region, further evaluate cooperation of small and medium enterprises with representatives of microregion and suggest possibilities for further development of SMEs. Characteristic of region Sokolov (general and economic) was conducted from secondary sources. Primary data were obtained from a questionnaire survey of SMEs in the region of Sokolov and from controlled interviews with representatives of the communities. There was conducted also a SWOT analysis of the Sokolov region, focusing on SMEs. Also were proposed forms of business support that are suitable for SMEs in the region and then were defined the recommendations and possibilities for further development of SMEs in region Sokolov. For example: improving information and cooperation of SMEs with local authority, with the Regional Chamber of Commerce Poohří, the use of SMEs development by means of Lake Medard, building a technology park and business incubator, etc.
The support of small and middle enterprises in Strakonice region

The main target of the thesis``The support of small and middle enterprises in Strakonice region`` is to analyze the chosen types of business support and their using of small and middle subjects in Strakonice region. To reach this target different analyses were implemented {--} analyse of small and middle enterprises in Strakonice region, SWOT analyse of Strakonice region, analyse of registered unemployment rate in the whole territory, region and particular micro-regions. The possibilities of support´s drawing for this type of business were observed and how these types of support are used in individual years was investigated. Not least the drawing of financial help from EU funds was examined.
The Impact Of Structural Funds On Small and Medium Enterprises In The Olomouc Region

This Bachelor's thesis investigates the impact of structural funds on small and medium enterprises in The Olomouc region. The support is drawn mainly on the Operational programme Enterprise and innovation as a grant. According to the questionnaire investigation performed the realized development projects helped to increase competitiveness and to penetrate new markets. They also increased the capacities of companies. But these are not fully used, now. The realized projects in marketing helped to the increase in export. The contribution to new jobs is different among projects and is not higher with increasing costs. However, the structural funds are not the impulse for preparation and/or realization of projects. Most of them would be realized even without the support. Their biggest contribution to small and medium enterprises is then the help to keep their financial stability.
