Boilers with medium capacity for biomass combustion of czech and foreign production
Habán, Tomáš ; Kropáč, Jiří (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
The main objective of this work is to focus on biomass as one of the components of renewable energy sources for the production of thermal energy by combustion. The introduction of work maps the current state of biomass used in the Czech Republic. It evaluates options for future uses for biomass and also the size of the potential in the natural conditions of the Czech Republic. It also views this renewable resource from the point of view of energy conception and evaluace the government positron on this issue. Next part deals with the combustion of biomass and with the use of created thermal energy. It ruminate a problem of pollutants and shows values for emission limits results from the legislation. It shows ways of using this thermal energy and the associated production of electrical energy including an overview of the possibilities of its evaluation. The last part of this work describes a comparison between biomass boilers from Czech and foreign producers in the range of rated output 1 to 3 MW. It divides boilers in terms of legislation and shows the obligations and conditions attached to the operators of biomass boilers. It outlines the biggest application of boilers with medium capacity for biomass combustion in the Czech Republic.
Study of energy consumption reduction of block of flats
Svoboda, Lukáš ; Šteffek, Libor (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)
The goal of the thesis is firstly to get all the information about the initial state of solved block of flats, which is located on the street Merhautova 76/954 in Brno – Černá pole, in terms of constructions, energy consumption and initial state of heating system. In the second part of the thesis, where are discussed the possibilities of reduction of energy consumption, variant drafts of reduction of energy consumption and their financial costs and the choice of optimal variant. Third part deals with assement of solved block of flats in terms of sustainable built environment by using tool to rate buildings in terms of sustainable built environment - SBToolCZ, evaluation of possibility to use renewables. In the end are written summaries and recommendations.
Fossil fuels substitution in large combustion plant
Hájek, Zdeněk ; Popela, Pavel (referee) ; Touš, Michal (advisor)
The thesis aims at current issues of using renewable resources here in the Czech Republic, mainly on biomass co-firing with fossil fuels in large combustion plant. The introduction provides an overview of systems for biomass co-firing. Further the using of optimization for solution problem of integration biomass fuels into existing large combustion plants and planning its operation conditions is presented. The main point of this thesis lies in creating of a user interface for modeling and optimization tool. Its functionality will be proved by solving a case study involving the analysis of possibilities for replacing fossil fuels due to the limited availability of coal in the market.
Business project
Došek, Ladislav ; Dohnal, Petr (referee) ; Mandelík, Petr (advisor)
My business project is focused on foundation of a company using renewable resources to produce energy. I will compare individual variants of manufacturing energy using renewable resources and I will decide, which alternate I use for realization of my projekt.
Biomass as renewable energy resources
Přichystal, Lukáš ; Kizlink, Juraj (referee) ; Friedl, Zdeněk (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis deals with an exploitation of a biomass as an energy carrier and the manners of obtaining this energy. Currently the most widely used methods of conversion of the biomass to various forms of energy, from burning to anaerobic digestion are described here. This work adverts to use the biomass not only in energetics, but also in the transport industry, as alternative fuel of vehicle engines. It describes not only the production of bioethanol from organic material, but also the techniques of hydrogen production as the fuel of future, and its use in fuel cells.
Business Plan for Building-up Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant
Svozilová, Petra ; Hreus, Lukáš (referee) ; Bartoš, Vojtěch (advisor)
The master thesis is a proposal of the business plan for building-up solar photovoltaic power plant. The first part includes presentation of businessman and industry analyses. Theoretical basis are offered in the second part of this thesis. The next part analyzes conditions of business sector, legislative conditions and then current situation of the company is evaluated by financial indicators. After that proposal of investment in photovoltaic power plant, economical parts follow. At the end of the thesis an evaluation of the proposed solution is presented.
Accumulation of electricity from renewable sources
Plíšek, Petr ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of accumulation of electricity produced by renewable sources. The first part focuses on the description of possible ways of accumulation, especially with focus on those methods, that are suitable for renewable energy sources. The next part deals with the design of the accumulation energy in the compressed air for the selected photovoltaic power plant. The necessity of designing a particular method of energy storage, is also its technical and economic analysis, which is the content of the last part of the thesis.
Demand side management of customers operating a renewable source in “green bonus” mode
Faktor, Richard ; Mastný, Petr (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with self-consumption management in renewable distributed generation systems. Self-consumption can be defined as the share of the total produced electricity directly consumed by the system owner. Its increase can be achieved by the accumulation of electrical energy or load management, also called demand side management (DSM) through a suitable control and regulation of households appliances and equimpents. The work includes the categorization of appliances in terms of the potential for demand side management and a description and design a concept of domestic load management systems.
Accumulation of energy from renewable sources
Charvátová, Marie ; Bajko, Jaroslav (referee) ; Fišer, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of accumulation of energy from renewable sources with a closer focus on electricity storage in the "small/home" scale. Delivering energy from renewable sources is highly variable and, in order to cover the time shift between production and consumption, energy must be stored. In the paper are described individual types of energy used in residential housing, sources of renewable energy are presented and various ways of energy accumulation are analyzed. The greatest attention is paid to chemical accumulators, because they are the most suitable solution for home use due to their practicality. At the end of the thesis, operational data from a small demonstration photovoltaic power plant with accumulation of electric energy in chemical accumulators are processed and evaluated.
Generators for renewable energy
Prokop, Jan ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of generators, which will use alternative sources of energy instead of fossil fuels. The work is focusing on mechanical energy conversion. Introductory part of the text summarizes the requirements on the generator, properties and parameters of appliances, which will be connected to the generator, and finally the selection of suitable alternative fuels. Main part describes the process of a prototype realization. Individual parts of the device have been manufactured from a simplified technical documentation and sketches in the machine shops of the Secondary School of Electrotechnical Engineering on Trnkova street, and from these parts a functional generator prototype has been assembled. This prototype consists of two separate parts: a propulsion unit and an alternator with accessories, including appliances. On this prototype an efficiency measurement has also been carried out. Furthermore, the work includes animations of device functions created in modeling program SolidWorks 2012. Prototypes are based on a known principle of a steam engine and, at the request of the above-mentioned school, have been adapter into a visual teaching aid. The advantage of those prototypes lies in their inexpensive and simple construction, which utilizes commonly available materials. The device works on maintenance-free principle, there is only the necessity of occasional greasing for a fluent running. In conclusion are briefly reviewed the investment and operating costs of the generator.
