Development and perspectives of maps of cities

The presented diploma thesis is concerned with analysing of contentual and graphical sides of historical, current and future maps of cities. The theoretical part describes historical development of the city maps up to date. Further there is outlined possible form of maps in the near future. The change of the forms is presented on example of the city of Nový Jičín. The main task of the practical part of the thesis was to make a new orientation map of the city of Nový Jičín. There are described the continuous steps of its creation completed with graphical samples. The city map is appendix of the thesis.

Methodological process of teaching orienteering during course of touristic and outdoor sports on UK FTVS

Title: Methodological process of teaching orienteering during course of touristic and outdoor sports on UK FTVS Target: The target of this thesis was inovation of methodical manual for teaching orienteering during course of touristic and outdoor sports on UK FTVS. The pilot project was also verified in practice on several courses. Methods: Expert survey of pilot version, which has been tested on nearly 280 students. Questionary survey for teachers and external co-workers from department of outdoor sports. Interview and literature review in the compilation of methodical manual. Results: Inovated methodical manual for teaching orienteering during course of touristic and outdoor sports. Teaching was changed especially in the begining of teaching orientation, where practical excercises were included to learn basic skills such as map orientation, keeping direction of the approach, selection of approach and distance estimation. A great benefit is a use of an electronic system SPORTident, which not only enriches the practice, but also provides high-quality data for back analysis of a training or a race. The use of modern technologies in orienteering

Title: The using of modern technologies in orienteering Goals: Introduction, the benefits of modern technology used in orienteering sports and comparison nowadays with last time, when have not been using yet. Modern technologies have contributed to expansion of orienteering sports. They have made that branch of sport more attractive to both competitors and spectators. Facilities like SPORTident, Trac-Trac, Emit and Racom transfer on-line results from race to competitors and spectators who are in the race center. Thanks to those facilities can spectators also watch the race on-line on TV or on the Internet. Program OCAD has made the preparation of orienteering maps and tracks faster and more effective. Modern technologies have also speeded up the process of race preparation. Method: Bachelor thesis of search type.
