Annotated translation of the study: Melis, Antonio. Si los hombres fueran buenos. Antropología del antipoema

This bachelor thesis consists of two parts: practical and theoretical. The practical part consists of a translation of the scholarly essay Si los hombres fueran buenos... antropología del antipoema, which was published in the Chilean journal Revista Chilena de Literatura in 2015. The text deals with the analysis of Parra's work and the semantics between poetry and antipoetry. In addition, the practical part consists of a translation of the transcription of Nicanor Parra's interviews with René de Costa and his students, published in a memorial volume of the Chilean journal The Clinic in 2018, a few days after Parra's death. The translation was done from Spanish to English. The theoretical part is a translation commentary that consists of an analysis of the source text, a description of the translation method and a typology of translation problems and their solutions.
