NQR spectroscopy - design of measurement methods
Procházka, Michal ; Bartušek, Karel (referee) ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (advisor)
Nuclear quadropole spectroscopy is a modern analytical method for detecting specific solid state materials, e.g. explosives, drugs etc. It uses phenomenon of atomic nucleus called nuclear quadrupole moment. NQR method is very similar to common nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) that is why major principles are explained using NMR. The thesis deals with basic principle of NQR, its usage for explosives detection and also detection of other chemical compounds and many other useful applications. The thesis deals with specific circuit design, techniques for sufficient sensitivity, impedance matching and circuit isolation. Practical part consists of simulations as well as designs of a few impedance transformers, pi-networks, and coils. Also experimental probe was created. In the last part, NQR workplace was assembled and a few chemical compounds were detected. These were KClO3, NaClO3 and NaNO2 . Finally minimum detectable amount of potassium chlorate as the strongest signal of these was determined.

RF coil for MR systém
Vojtíšek, Miloš ; Kořínek, Radim (referee) ; Gescheidtová, Eva (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on radio frequency coils for magnetic resonance imaging systems. Magnetic resonance is used for imaging of many objects, especially human body in medicine, plants and many other different objects. For obtaining optimal results it is essential to use a special suitable coil for every single application. In the first part of this work, the short overview of principles of magnetic resonance imaging is described followed by a look at hardware used in MRI. The main aim of the work is design of several different types of RF coils used in MRI. Finally two suitable designs have been chosen for the purpose. Coils have been realized, tested in experiments. Results were analyzed, maps of generated magnetic field were calculated and homogeneity was determined.
Errors in MRI methods for measuring diffusion coefficients
Uríča, Jozef ; Marcoň, Petr (referee) ; Gescheidtová, Eva (advisor)
Diploma thesis Errors in MRI methods for measuring diffusion coefficients a study of measurement of diffusion NMR methods, specifies the location, causes, origination diffusion coefficients. The main function of the program is to simulate changes parameters measurement of diffusion coefficients and allows for example only one gradient or runs down gradient pulses.
Optimization of MR acquisition parameters for the measurement of small objects
Pecháček, Libor ; Přinosil, Jiří (referee) ; Gescheidtová, Eva (advisor)
The subject of my thesis is a design of the methods optimizing, the acquisition of MR signals when small objects measure. The thesis is divided into several parts in order to give a deeper knowledge of the problem. The first part focuses on the theory associated with NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) and SNR (signal-to-noise ratio). The practical verification of the theory follows. The conclusion of this work is focused on MR images filtering by use of wavelet transform to suppress a noise in the image. The method optimization of MR acquisition parameters for the measurement of small objects is then distributed to the entire work.
Diffussion measurement by NMR
Vanko, Filip ; Gescheidtová, Eva (referee) ; Bartušek, Karel (advisor)
In Bachelor thesis is described the principle of MRI, the physical foundations of the phenomenon of magnetic resonance imaging, quantum and macroscopic model. Followed by a description of the mechanisms of relaxation of magnetic resonance phenomenon. In the following sections describes the basis of diffusion, each sequence for measuring diffusion NMR methods and the method of three measurements, which was used in experimental measurements. Last chapter deals with the practical. The results of measurements are evaluated in conclusion.

Uríča, Jozef ; Zycháček, Michal (referee) ; Bartušek, Karel (advisor)
Study of errors in in MR imaging pulse sequences.
Detection methods of energetic materials
Procházka, Michal ; Diviš, Pavel (referee) ; Friedl, Zdeněk (advisor)
A research on current methods of detection of explosives and related materials was made. At first the thesis studies methods of detection and analysis of explosives including chromatographic methods (TLC, GC, HPLC, IC), mass spectrometry and its variations, ion mobility spectrometry and infra-red spectroscopy. Next the attention is placed on detection of explosives in solid phase by X-ray detection, nuclear magnetic and quadrupole resonance and thermal neutron activation. Practical applications of these methods are of great importance in this thesis as well as their usage in the counterterrorist fight.

Julínek, Michal ; Fiala, Pavel (referee) ; Bartušek, Karel (advisor)
The numeric simulation of magnetic field of selected samples is made and resuled is compared with MRI measurement.
Basic measurement techniques of the magnetic resonance
Toufarová, Tereza ; Bartušek, Karel (referee) ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with basic principles of magnetic resonance. It describes this phenomenon from the point of view of quantum mechanics and classic physics. Both approaches differ considerably, however, it is necessary to combine both to describe the phenomenon. The main focus of the thesis is analysis of individual measuring methods and their mutual comparison. The methods described are Spin-Echo Method, Saturation Recovery Technique, Inversion Recovery Technique and Grandient-Echo Method. This document contains a theoretical description of imaging techniques and processing of pictures gained by practical application of the methods.
