Military tactics of the nomads in the period of the Great Mongol empire

The topic of this thesis are the Mongolian tactics in the Mnogol Empire period. I also describe military strategy of the Mongols and organization of their army in general. Comparison with the European armies is part of the thesis. I would like to summarize and systematize knowledge and information from various sources related to the chosen subject, as a basis for further research. With the help of the collected information I will try to portray Mongols differently than common disorganised and wild 'barbarian horde'. I will also describe the reasons, why at that time Mongolian warriors did not have competition on the battlefield. In this thesis, I use mainly indirect historical method. In the historical part I used mainly secondary literature. In the main part I tried to work with historical sources as many as possible. I added my own commentaries and opinions and interpretations of well-known authors. From wide choice of literature, I managed to create a comprehensive view into the Mongolian military study. During the study of literature, I found out many various tactics which Mongolian warriors often used during their campaigns to defeat enemy both in field and during besieging the cities.
