Geographical Characteristic of Industry in the Mladá Boleslav Region

The aim of the presented thesis is to map the most significant impal of the geographical transformation of industry in the administrative district of a municipality with extended powers Mladá Boleslav after 1989. The Mladá Boleslav region is one of the few naturely originated and developed industrial clusters in the Czech Republic with a specific size and sectoral structure of economy (super-dominance of Škoda Auto) and a massive influx of FDI. The restructuring of the industry in Mladá Boleslav did not have much impact on the physical or functional structure of the city. The residential, industrial and eventually service functions of the city remain dominant. In the microregional scale the increasing living standards have made possible a large residential suburbanisation. The most significant change in the geographical structure of Mlada Boleslav was the construction of new industrial zones on the outskirts of the city and on the adjacent communities and the associated technical infrastructure modernization and growth of road transportation. Mlada Boleslav in the course of more than twenty years of industry transformation after 1989 not only maintained but also strengthened the distinct functional specialization in the automotive industry. Preventing occupational burnout among field social workers in the Mladá Boleslav District

Occupational burnout is a serious and increasingly discussed topic. Its serious consequences do not affect only workers employed in social services, but also employees of individual facilities. Appropriate prevention could help to stop the loss of qualified workers. This thesis explores possible preventive measures against the burnout focusing among field social workers in the Mladá Boleslav District. The theoretical part of this thesis defines occupational burnout, describes its causes of origin, phases, its disease pattern, treatment, prevention including specific risks related to this profession. The final chapter focuses on the possibilities of personal development aimed at preventing the occurrence of occupational burnout. For the practical part, a combined research method was selected applying the quantitative approach of questionnaires for social service workers together with a qualitative method of conducting interviews with senior executives. The results are presented in verbal as well as graphical form. The aim of this research was to find out about the level of prevention among selected social service workers in Mladá Boleslav. Development of regional newspapers in Mlada Boleslav from 1945 to the beginning of normalization

The thesis describes the development of regional periodicals in Mladá Boleslav from 1945 to the beginning of normalization in 1969 in terms of the historical, political and social background. The main objective is to describe how the most important regional newspapers looked and what they wrote. At the time of the Third Republic there were weekly political magazines: Social Democratic Hlas lidu and Communistic Naše Pojizeří (later called Naše noviny). During the fifties there was a rural newspapers called Nová vesnice within the central regional press, which at the end of the fifties, transformed into the district newspaper Mladoboleslavsko, later renamed Zář Mladoboleslavska. Other significant titles in the district were also racing magazine Ventil cultural monthly magazine Život mladoboleslavské kultury in the sixties. The thesis provides a historical overview and a formal content analysis of each regional periodicals. To complement the broader context of the main theme the author summarizes the development of regional print media before 1945, as well as briefly describes the political history of Czechoslovakia during the periods 1945 to 1969 including media management techniques and providing social, demographic and economic characteristics of the district of Mladá Boleslav. Leisure opportunities for young people in adolescence in region Mladoboleslavsko

The work deals with the leisure of youth in adolescence, that is between 15 and 20 years. Its aim is to create a list of leisure options in region Mladoboleslavsko. In the theoretical section explains the basic concepts - leisure, leisure activities and leisure facilities. There is also characterized youth in adolescence and Mladoboleslavsko region. The methodological part is contained in the third chapter. Here is described the research process . There are contained questions that were the basis for the research part. The essence of the research was to detect the presence of leisure facilities in the municipalities of Mladoboleslavsko. In the fourth chapter the research results are reported . For this purpose, clear tables are used, supplemented by commentary. The last chapter is called interpretation, its purpose is to summarize the results.
