JANKOVCOVÁ, Kateřina
This thesis deals with development of personal, but mainly physical and motor skills of people with mental disabilities by application of yoga movement therapy. My research has aimed to find out if an intensive week-long programme of yoga relaxation exercises can lead to improvement of fine motor skills, mobility, and the overall physical condition of mentally-disabled people of the 1st to 3rd level of disability. The research was conducted during the week-long school stay in nature. The participants were tested both the first and last day of their stay. The research sample was composed of six women and four men from the school for persons with special needs in Česke Budějovice. The methods utilised during the research were direct observation, evaluation and questioning to detect changes in indicators of physical condition and fine motor skills (including grasping reflexes of participants and familiarisation with new expressions). The results show positive change in these indicators. The therapy regimen resulted in the improvement in movement coordination, fine subtle skills of arms in everyday{\crq}s patient{\crq}s self-care activities; and the positive influence of yoga was also observed on psychological well-being of participants. The research project was beneficial for the participants and can serve as a model for further utilisation in the field applications of yoga exercises for people with mental disabilities.
Recognizing of rights of mentally disabled individuals and school integration.
CZINEGOVÁ, Eva
The attitude of society towards persons with mental disabilities and recognizing their rights and dignity are important evaluation aspects of the society. The Czech Republic follows modern European trends that provide the mentally disabled with the same extent of activities as people without disabilities. As a topic of my thesis I have chosen the mentally disabled children´s right to education. The thesis addresses attitudes of primary school headmasters as well as attitudes of the staff of special education centers for children and youths with mental disabilities to integration of pupils with mental disabilities into a regular primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with important documents discussing the rights of individuals with mental disabilities. It describes not only mental disability and its degrees, but in particular education of children with mental disabilities in schools set up for pupils with special educational needs and the possibility of integrating these pupils into mainstream education. The theoretical part is followed by the practical part. The objective of the thesis was to identify the attitude of primary school headmasters as well as that of the staff of a special education center for the mentally disabled staff to the integration process of children with mental disabilities into mainstream primary schools and implementation of the right to education of children with mental disabilities. The research was conducted by the interrogation method using anonymous questionnaires. The results show that a majority of primary schools headmasters in the South Bohemian region support the right to education of pupils with mental disabilities in the form of their integration into regular classrooms. All the respondents, both primary school headmasters and the special education center staff, give the priority at education to individual learning abilities of each child with a mental disability. At the integration of a pupil with a mental disability into a regular primary school the crucial criterion is health and social motivation, not economic motivation. This thesis can be used as a survey of current attitudes and opinions of primary school headmasters and special education centers´ staff on the possibility of pupils with mental disabilities integration into mainstream education.

JANOVSKÁ, Klára
The goal of my bachelor thesis on a topic: ``Work conditions of people with mental disability living in institutional care{\crqq} was to map this situation in residence social care institutions for people with mental disability in South Bohemia region. The goal was achieved. Contemporary world trends in care for people with mental disability prefer to class employment opportunities into the area of educational occupation in social care institutions. The problem of employment is one of the most serious questions regarding people with mental disability. A fulfillment on a labor market influences several factors in their lives. It is not only the economic situation and social statute but also self-realization. There are several forms of occupational and social fulfillment for people who are disadvantaged on labor market. These are supported employment, protected jobs or protected workshops. For achievement of the goal of the thesis a method of qualitative research, technique of structured interview with open questions was used. First target group were employees of residence social care institutions for people with mental disability in South Bohemia region. Second target group were employees from organizations dealing with supported employment in South Bohemia region. From the results of the thesis is clear that the institutions and organizations are interested in occupational fulfillment of their clients. They are trying to create jobs. But the supply is still insufficient. In connection with this thesis we can set following research questions. 1. In what direction will be a progress in attitudes of our society about the problems of employing people with mental disability in the meaning of financial, legislative and social securing of the problems? 2. Whether the employment of people with mental disability will be a part of companies{\crq} strategy (within company philanthropy)? The thesis should help to compare the situation of given problems in each residence social care institutions in South Bohemia region.
Specificity of work in sheltered workshops and possibilities of their services in the Czech republic and USA.
JINDROVÁ, Zdeňka
Taking care of people with disabilities is dated back to history. Nowadays there are many ways how to take care, socialize and integrate people with special needs. For people with some handicap there are number of fences at the same time, which are impossible to break through without help of the other people. We can also find out that people with disabilities are exposed to some kinds of discrimination. The most severe fence for those people is that they have got nearly closed access to the labour market. People with disabilities belong in disadvantaged groups at the labour market and they are suffering from long-term unemployment. Sheltered workshops are one way how to integrate those people. People with health problems and with changed working ability work there. Working in the sheltered workshops isn{\crq}t only earning money. It is also a place where especially the disabled people can become members of society and can gain new experience. I tried to find out similarities and differences in running of chosen sheltered workshops. Based on my stay in Massachusetts, USA I chose to concentrate on describing non-government, non-profit organization called Road to Responsibility, Inc. In the Czech Republic I chose for the same purpose Domov sv. Anežky, o.p.s. in Týn nad Vltavou. In theoretical part of thesis, I concentrate on the problems of disability. I am describing history of care of people with disabilities, the types of disability, socialization and last, but not least jobs opportunities and self{--}fulfillment of peoplewith disabilities. The practical section of thesis is divided into two parts. In part one I am describing running of the chosen companies and their sheltered workshops and in part two I am graphically displaying found information. I chose to do research two different ways. The first one was secondary data analysis and content analysis. I also collected information from interviews, in which I talked to employees and managers of the workshops. Before I started collecting data I chose what information I want to find out, what documents I want to study so I will get the result I wanted {--} to find out the similarities and differences of the chosen workshops in USA and in Czech Republic. The information were e.g. rights and obligations of the clients, the founders of those companies, what do they offer, personal security, qualifications of employees, rates of pay for people with disabilities and last but not least what types of workshops each organization runs. Based on the information I collected, I realized, that certain differences between Road to Responsibility and Domov sv. Anežky exists. The main difference is different rates of pay for people with disability for their work. Another difference is how the rights of clients are exercise. I can declare that both my hypothesis were correct. I am convinced, that my work points out the similarities and differences, which exist in sheltered workshops in the Czech Republic and USA. But of course it is not the whole view of how the community works.
