Experimental validation of the parasitic RC components extraction (PEX extraction) using ring oscillators
Buzek, Vít ; Král, Vojtěch (referee) ; Hejátková, Edita (advisor)
The main focus of this work is verification of extraction of parasitic RC components. The theoretical part is concerned with theoretical terms from the area of design of integrated circuits, ring oscillators, parasitic extraction and frequency counting are clarified. The practical section is dedicated to measuring at manufactured structures on a silicon wafer and simulation, which simulates the designed structures in Cadence Virtuoso. For the parasitic extraction to be verified, it is necessary to compare the measured and simulation frequencies, to find out the deviations and to point out configurations with limited accuracy. Section of the practical part is dedicated to statistical analysis and suggestion on improving the parasitic extraction.
Design of Differential Difference Amplifier in CMOS technology
Trojan, Vladimír ; Khateb, Fabian (referee) ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the design of differential difference amplifier (DDA) in technology TSMC 0,18 with maximum input and output common mode range, minimum power dissipation and area on chip. The thesis describes the basics of CMOS technology, commonly used structures of analog integrated circuits and operational amplifiers. Main focus of the thesis is design of circuit of DDA. Designing and simulations of DDA parameters were made in program Cadence Virtuoso and ADE Assembler simulation environment. Layout of DDA was designed in Layout XL environment.
Design of differential difference amplifier in CMOS technology
Slaninka, Leonard ; Prokop, Roman (referee) ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is focused on theoretical analysis of parameters and properties of CMOS technology, and its use for differentially difference amplifier design. The thesis is concentrated on MOS transistor behaviour in different work regimes depending on the voltage UGS, it is also covering work regimes in relation to difference of voltages UDSsat and UDS. In the end of theoretical part there are listed and briefly described basic building blocks for amplifiers. Design is carried out in Cadence Virtuoso environment using ONC25 (250 nm) technology. DDA is supplied by asymmetrical voltage of 5 V and for the design are used standard threshold transistors.
