Using satellite data of the Copernicus program for environmental research with a case study focused on assessment of REP reclaimed land in the neighbourhood of the lake Medard
Hernová, Jana ; Matějíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Brůna, Josef (referee)
Using satellite data of the Copernicus program for environmental research with a case study focused on assessment of REP reclaimed land in the neighbourhood of the lake Medard Abstract The thesis is divided into two parts on theoretical part and case study. The first deals is focused on description satellites of the Copernicus program and using for environmental research. The work is supplemented with examples of studies and projects that use satellite data of Sentinel with a focus on Sentinel-2. The second part deals with the use of the vegetation index REP of Sentinel-2 for the evaluation of vegetation in the landscape recultivation and evaluation of spatial resolution REP Sentinel-2. The area of interest is in the neighbourhood of the lake Medard. Keywords: satellite data, Copernicus, environmental research, REP, Medard
Hydrobiological monitoring of Medard lake in 2019
Hejzlar, Josef ; Nedoma, Jiří ; Znachor, Petr ; Seďa, Jaromír ; Peterka, Jiří
Presented report summarizes the results of hydrobiological monitoring of Medard Lake in 2019 and recommends further monitoring actions. The year 2019 was the second year after the lake was filled, when no more water from the Ohře River was filled and only small tributaries from the small river basin flowed into the lake. Thus, the ecosystem of the lake has reached a final state in terms of hydrological regime and nutrient load, characterized by very low water exchange, low trophic levels with low productivity of planktonic communities, development of submerged macrovegetation in coastal zones and specific seasonal changes in chemistry and biological parameters.

A Weather Risk Prediction System for Road Trip Planning
Krč, Pavel ; Fuglík, Viktor ; Juruš, Pavel ; Kasanický, Ivan ; Konár, Ondřej ; Pelikán, Emil ; Eben, Kryštof ; Šucha, M.
The paper presents first ideas of the MEDARD-RODOS project. The aim of the project is to develop a decision support system for road trip planning, reflecting the weather risks predicted from the NWP models implemented in the MEDARD system (www.medard-online.cz) and using the traffic information from the RODOS project (www.centrum-rodos.cz).
Comparison of numerical weather prediction models for purposes of atmospheric dispersion modeling within the grant project MV ČR VG20102013018
Hofman, Radek ; Pecha, Petr ; Hošek, Jiří
This research report concerns numerical weather prediction models and their possible exploitation for purposes of atmospheric dispersion modeling within the grant project VG20102013018 provided by the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic. After brief description of numerical weather prediction systems MEDARD and ALADIN, their results are compared in terms of mutual agreement.
Land reclamation of extracted superficial mines - project of lake Medard
Kratochvíl, Petr ; Antoš, Ondřej (advisor) ; Ryvolová, Ivana (referee)
This bachelor thesis is trying to find the answer to the question whether the territorial ecological limits are the appropriate instrument of environment protection. The answer to this question is searched through the analysis of current legislation and by comparing the arguments of opponents and supporters of territorial ecological limits. One of the most important parts of a dispute concerning the future of territorial limits is the effectiveness of land reclamation of quarries after extraction. The effectiveness of reclamation is illustrated on the reclamation project Medard in Sokolovsko. On this project is shown the financial and administrative performance of projects and their contribution to the citizen ant a region.
