Battery rescue equipment compared to hydraulic rescue tools in the Fire Protection Units of the South Bohemian Region Fire Rescue Department.
JIRSA, Marek
In my bachelor thesis I am dealing with hydraulic rescue equipment with motor or electric drive unit and battery rescue equipment for fire protection units of the Fire Rescue Department of the South Bohemia Region. In this thesis I focused on the comparison of hydraulic and battery rescue equipment. In the thesis I have listed the basic legal regulations that define the tasks of the Fire Rescue Department of the Czech Republic, such as Act No. 320/2015 Coll. on the Fire Rescue Department of the Czech Republic and on amendments to certain acts. I have tried to answer the question whether the battery rescue equipment is comparable to the original hydraulic rescue equipment in the long term, user and operational terms, and also to determine if the battery rescue equipment has met the assumptions of usability in relation to the original hydraulic rescue equipment. I expressed my own opinion at the end of the thesis, where I evaluated everything. Based on the questionnaires, I found that the battery rescue equipment has a positive rating in many respects, but there are also negative ratings. However, we also find pros and cons for the hydraulic rescue equipment. In the overall evaluation, however, the battery rescue equipment was on a par or even better than the hydraulic rescue equipment. According to this survey, it can be seen that the development of the battery rescue equipment is moving in the right direction and could be used independently in the future without a hydraulic rescue equipment. But in order for this to be the case, according to the opinions of the respondents, it is necessary to wait a few more years to catch the negative moments, to see if there are any tool failures or other problems that threaten the operation of these types of tools.
Theological anthropology in the worlds of J. R. R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis and George Lucas
Michálek, Ondřej ; Outrata, Filip (advisor) ; Hošek, Pavel (referee)
In this work I explore the subject of theological motives in the worlds of John Ronald Reuel Tolkien - Middle-earth, Clive Staples Lewis - Narnia and George Lucas - Star Wars. In the world of the Middle-earth, it will be the whole canon, which contains stories from the Middle- earth focusing on The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. I will use all seven books from the world of Narnia. In George Lucas's world, I'm mainly using the so-called G-canon. If there's a topic that's not covered by this canon, I'll look into the so-called T-canon, or the C-canon. I will compare the different theological questions in the approaches of an author influenced by Anglicism, Catholicism and Methodism with Buddhism. The most important questions for me will be creation, sin, grace, hope, forgiveness and redemption. For each topic, I compare the approaches and compare them to the biblical narrative. The aim of the work is if and howt extent these stories reflect a biblical view of man and of history.
Resuscitation of the patient with LUCAS II
CHRT, Michal
The thesis deals with a mechanical resuscitation system LUCAS II. The LUCAS system is one of the most frequently used devices for a mechanical cardiac massage. The thesis introduces readers to the most current knowledge about its effectivity and safety. The opening chapters are dedicated to sudden cardiac arrest and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The following chapter are introducing the reader to the use of the LUCAS system during urgent resuscitation. They are describing its application in specific cases, which could be transport or resuscitation in catheterization laboratory. The thesis is formed theoretically. The main sources are formed by clinical studies and other professional articles. The main goal of the thesis is to summarize existing knowledge about mechanized cardiac massage with the LUCAS II device while giving cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The use of LUCAS system doesn't show improvement in the survival rate of patients in comparison with manual heart massage. Its main benefit is applied in complicated situations, when it is not possible to carry out manual chest compression. During transport and in cath lab the LUCAS system seems like an effective tool, which can raise the chance of cardiac arrest survival. The thesis provides up-to-date summary of given problematics and can serve as a study material for medical study programs.
Testing the Rational Expectations Hypothesis of Czech consumers in the period 2005 - 2014
Kolařík, Luboš ; Štípek, Vladimír (advisor) ; Doležal, Ondřej (referee)
The work is focused on testing the The Hypothesis of Rational Expectations by R. Lucas for Czech costumers. Hypothesis is theoretically described in historical context and in application context. It describes theoretical influence of the hypothesis to the extreme direction of the theory. The emphasis is on broader concept to this hypothesis then on the rational inflation expectation. The practical testing is made by using the method of correlation and regression of the data from the questionnaire survey by Czech statistical office. The survey is used to make the leading business-cycle indicator. The hypothesis is testing five subjects: rational expectation of economic growth, inflation, financial situation, unemployment and our own future savings. Ordinal variables from the questionnaire are converted to numeric codes and it expresses a linear relationship with an equivalent quantity. The hypothesis has been at least partially confirmed in all studied subjects, except unemployment. The change of the expectation in the time evolution is at least correlate with reality. Existence of the rationality in expectation is confirmed, extreme version of the theory is rejected. From the analysis results we can see an overhang of pessimism in the society, which is changed in linear identical relationship with the real economy. This way of testing The Hypothesis of Rational Expectation is the first in Czech Republic of its kind, which is main part of added value of this work.
