A Comparison of Optimization Programmes
Kovářík, Dušan ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee) ; Šeda, Miloš (advisor)
The thesis is focused on various free available software, designed for mathematical optimization. In the first section, the current offerings on the optimization software market are introduced. Further on, the thesis is dealing in details with selected pieces of software products – specifically GAMS, LINGO, QMS web service (Quantitative Methods Software) and Investigator tool, embedded in MS Office Excel application. The closing part, then, is concerned with testing and comparison of above presented software products, employing the performance tests with pre-selected optimization tasks.
Uplatnění metod lineárního programování při řešení dopravních úloh
Charousová, Kateřina
The goal of this diploma thesis is to produce new optimized distribution routes for a concrete company while trying to minimize costs for distribution of products. The theoretical part of the paper describes basic terms and methods related to the topic. The practical part deals with optimisation of distribution route itself, mainly through Mayer´s method and STORM program, while keeping in mind the optimal location of a new warehouse in the territory of Bohemia. Obtained results are always compared with the original or other optimized solution.
Využití lineárního programování při tvorbě výživového doporučení
Páleník, Leoš
This thesis deals with the use of linear programming in the development of nutritional recommendations. The aim of this work is to minimize the cost of food in compliance with the recommended daily intake of nutrients. For this purpose will be created a diet that will meet the recommended daily nutritional intake of nutrients at once and will be the cheapest possible.
Optimalizace distribučních tras v logistické firmě HOPI s.r.o.
Nucová, Helena
This diploma thesis deals with logistic processes, distribution and efforts to streamline. One of the ways how to optimize distribution processes is the use of operational research methods. The diploma thesis analyses the situation of the company HOPI Ltd. New solution is designed by using Mayer´s method and program LINGO. The comparison of the current and proposed solution is done at the end of this thesis in order to determine the economic impact on the company.
Řízení distribuce produktů v podmínkách vybrané pekárny
Žaludová, Monika
The bachelor thesis deals with the use of linear programming to find optimal paths for bread delivery of selected bakery. In order to find the optimal solution, Littles method and STORM and LINGO programs are used, which at the end of the thesis are compared with the original solution. By optimizing the routes, the bakery would save CZK 12,947 per year, which is approximately 6.5% of fuel costs in 2016.
Blending problem and its utilization in practice
Jurda, Daniel ; Dlouhá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Kuncová, Martina (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to find out how much it would cost millions of people to cover the minimum recommended daily allowance of nutrients using the LINGO mixing task. We select eight basic raw materials as food and we will review the price over a 30-year period, this data being drawn from commodity exchange prices. Then, using the EViews program, we estimate the price for another 5 years. Finally, we will find out how much it would be worth resolving the problem of food scarcity globally and what sums would have to be sacrificed in the past so that nobody died in the famine in this time span.
