Title The Journalist Richard Weiner Abstract The diploma thesis " The journalist Richard Weiner" is a comprehensive monogram of Richard Weiner's work with the main emphasis on his journalistic and publishing activities in the contemporary periodicals such as Lidové noviny, Písecké listy, Přítomnost, Rozvoj, Lumír, Novina and Volné směry and the journal Samostatnost, or Venkov newspaper and Národní listy. In this way, he spent a very important part of the his professional - journalistic life in the French capital city Paris. He lived there as a correspondent for Lidové noviny and the magazine Přítomnost. In the thesis is also included his writing and the poetry work with by defined an undeniable influence at the Czech expressionist literary works. Part of the work is also devoted to his work in the art group Le Grand Jeu, which had a great influence on his poetic and journalistic work. Richard Weiner's life was very varied and these days his name is not very well known in lay circles, at the time in he lived and worked, he belonged to very important persons, as we can see by numerous correspondence with famous personalities of the time, such as Viktor Dyk, Ferdinand Peroutka or Karel Čapek. Surrealist "game" and its use in the work of Richard Weiner Hra doopravdy

The presented thesis seeks to clarify Weiner's concept of the game as a specific experience of the world. The concept of the game is correlated to several related concepts, primarily to the artistic conception of the Le Grand Jeu and wider philosophical context, especially the Surrealist project. The aim of the work is not to assign Weiner's works to existing literary creations, orientations and tendencies (even its fragmented parts), but rather to define its uniqueness in contrast to them. It is not limited to one plane in the text, but takes into account all the poetic devices to reveal the author's concept of the game and the world in general. The Relationships Between Czech and French Surrealists

The core of this work is research and analysis of documents, correspondence, memoir, and secondary reflection of relations among Czech and French surrealists, primarily from the area of literature. Attention is paid both, the Le grand jeu group and the group around Andre Breton. Based on comparisons and analysis that have been carried out, formation of mutual discursive dominant is described, together with way of their period interpretation.
