Využití fytoterapie v ekologickém chovu zvířat

Phytotherapy or herbalismus is a alternative treatment of diseases of the use of synthetic drugs. The active ingredients of selected plants are scientifically and empirically proven effects on infectious and non-infectious diseases in humans and animals. At first this thesis deals with veterinary medicine in organic animal husbandry, legislation governing this issue and various alternative therapeutic methods. Next part deals with the herbal medicine in detail. There is explained the basic concepts of herbalism and biochemical composition of active plant substances. The main section of work is a collection of scientific papers dealing with the effect of phytotherapy on selected diseases of livestock, and a description of the most commonly used herbs. Final part of thesis mentions the available herbal products for animals.

The thesis deals with the subject of skin, the very important organ for life, and her illness. At first is the thesis concentrated on the importance and function of the skin system and briefly describes her anatomical structure. To find the illness out is necessary to know, how the healthy skin looks like. The main part is concerned with the problems of the selected illnesses. There are decribed the congenital and acquired illnesses, especial eczemas, sycosis, fungal diseases and parasite diseases. It also engages in the viral and neoplastic diseases and injuries caused by the saddlery. There is mentioned briefly how the right care of the horses looks like and how to prevent useless illnesses. Finally informs about the significance of the mineral supplements and vitamins and their influence on the skin and the fur. In the closing part the thesis looks into the treatment, which can be applied by using of the medicinal plants and herbs growing in the nature.
Proměny zeleninových záhonů během vegetačního období

In the vegetation period of 2014 at the experimental field of ZF MENDELU Lednice was started experimental flowerbed which was divided into three parts - Bed of stalk and leaf vegetables, flowerbed of climbing crop plants and flowerbed of unusual vegetables. The aim of this study was to investigate and evaluate the aesthetic transformation of ornamental vegetable beds during the growing season. For the matter was compiled literature search. On the basis of knowledge and experience in the cultivation experiment was evaluated and interpreted with the use of its results in the further practice. Best suited vegetable taxa were selected for its successful cultivation of ornamental vegetable beds in the climatic conditions of the Czech Republic and for its aesthetic effect in ornamental flowerbed over a long period of time. This bachelor thesis named “Herbal Mixtures and Herbal Food Supplements” focuses on the possibilities of use and processing of medicinal plants into various forms of products which are used as a part of foods, beverage, or supplementary product. The-se products are used mainly for their health benefit, but they have a flavoring function, too. This bachelor thesis describes herbs from history of their growing, agrotechnology and factors that affect growth and cultivation of herbs. The next part deals with sub-stances that we can find in them, and their importance. Then the parts of herbs which are used, the possibilities of preservation including drying and freezing and the processing of medicinal plants into particular types of food supplements, includ-ing their preparation are described.
Kultivace vybraného sortimentu léčivých a kořeninových rostlin v podmínkách ekologického zemědělství

Main purpose of this thesis is to concentrate information about actual assortment medicinal, aromatic and root plants (MARP) in Botanicus Company. From the entire assortment of medicinal plants were chosen these: Calendula officinalis, Lavandula angustifolia, Matricaria recutita, Melissa officinalis, Mentha x piperita, Rosmarinus officinalis, Salvia officinalis, Symphytum officinale. Health, term of reaping and yeild is being monitored due to ensure superior resources for production of natural cosmetics. Also there are silvicultural practices, term of reaping and way of processing in the ecological farming´s conditions. Also overall amount of flavinoids and overall antioxidant capacity. Final results are processed in charts and graphs.
