A torsion of the beam with non-circular cross-section
Kalivoda, Ondřej ; Hrstka, Miroslav (referee) ; Profant, Tomáš (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the analytical and numerical methods solving the problems of the torsion of bars with various geometries of cross-sections. The theoretical background of the problem is introduced in the beginning of the thesis. The possibilities of the analytical solution of the partial differential equations in the case of the simplified shapes of the cross-sections are discussed in the following part. These results are compared with the numerical ones received from the finite element analysis via the ANSYS software. The numerical results are extended to the cases of the generalized shapes of the beam cross-sections.
Torsion of bars with noncircular cross section
Votava, Ondřej ; Hájek, Petr (referee) ; Profant, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is the problematics of twisting of bars with non-circular cross-section. In order to solve this problem, analytical and numerical methods are used. The theoretical part deals with the derivation of elementary relations, especially on the thin-walled open and closed section. This theoretical knowledge is further applied to solve specific tasks. In this thesis, the applicability of using individual methods for real parts is examined.
Analysis of simple and non-uniform torsion with restricted warping of opened and closed thin-walled profiles
Zavičák, Radim ; Hrstka, Miroslav (referee) ; Šebek, František (advisor)
This thesis deals with the solution of simple and non-uniform torsion with restricted warping of non-circular thin-walled profiles. In the theoretical part, the emphasis is mainly on the derivation of analytical solution for caltulation of stress in open and closed profiles. Analytical solution is then applied to solve specific examples. The results are verified by the finite element method. In the final part of the thesis, a comparison of analytical and numerical results was made and the safety of individual states with respect to the limit state of elasticity was discussed.
