Portraits of Vilém and Petr Vok of Rosenberg as compensatory aids for visually disabled

This bachelor thesis consists of a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters. The first chapter focuses on the basic characteristics of portraiture in the history of art. The chapture describes selected artistic directions and their characteristic properties associated with portraiture. The next chapture focuses on the life of the last lords of Rosenberg - William and Petr Vok. The third chapture deals with Kratochvíle chateau, its appearance and history from the beginning of construction to the present. The last chapture deals with the topic of visually impaired people. This chapture outlines the issue of using compensatory aids - such as haptic models for these individuals. The aim of practical part of this bachelor thesis was to create haptic models for the blind and visually impaired by portraits William and Petr Vok from Rosenberg. Both models will be part of the exhibitions at Kratochvíle chateau.

This diploma thesis deals with mapping the historical rustic country decorative gardens. Literature review shows the development of historical gardens and parks in the Czech Republic and describes their types and styles. As a next step, it describes the issue of protection and renovation of garden art. The thesis then maps two historical decorative gardens based on the selection of the author: Kratochvíle castle and Dub u Prachatic castle, both in the Prachatice district. Based on the field research of these gardens, the thesis contains photo documentation of each plant with Czech and Latin names. The acquired information were used to create a detailed map in which all types of plants have their numbers. The final part of the thesis then offers a list of all plants that are found in both selected gardens. The aim of the thesis is the process of mapping and possible suggestions on how to renovate the two historical rustic gardens and create maps of their current form.

The topic of this bachelor thesis is "Historical parks and chateau gardens in Southern Bohemia". It uses a form of literary recherche and contains eleven chapters. First part presents the terminology used regarding this topic. Consequent chapters describe in depth the landscape of Southern Bohemia and Czech historical gardens fund. The main topic of the thesis are gardens, so the next part describe the evolution of garden art and individual eras and changes in garden architecture happening through history. Subsequent chapters deal with a topic of garden restoration and techniques of historical garden restoration. The most important part of this thesis is a comprehensive list of historical parks and chateau gardens in Southern Bohemia, including an attached map. Three of the gardens are described thoroughly, namely: Terčino údolí, Kratochvíle chateu and castle gardens in Český Krumlov. The aim of this thesis is to emphasize the beauty and importance of historical parks and gardens.

This bachelor´s thesis is focused on the touristic utilization of a park situated at the Kratochvíle Castle. The main aim is to assess the attractiveness of that chosen object. Via the questionnaire survey there was made an assessment of the structure of current visitors, their motivation for a visit, and what they usually search for, what they find attractive, what leisure time activities they usually carry out on their holidays. The result was the identification of suggestions on the optimization of the use of the Kratochvíle Castle Park.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is recognition of the various ideas of the symbolic decorations of the Kratochvíle château. The analysis of the figural stucco scenes in the Golden Hall is compared to the inner world of the renaissance nobleman. The interpretation of the symbolic emblems based on the Livy's History of Rome helps with the understandings of the self-presentation of Wilhelm von Rosenberg.
