SPORTS AND RECREATIONAL RESORT KRÁLÍKY
Vosyková, Magdaléna ; Velehradská, Dagmar (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis is the design of a hotel in the foothills of Králický Sněžník for 62 guests. The hotel has a restaurant, wellness center with swimming pool, fitness center, games room, ski room, sports equipment store, sports equipment rental, 40 covered parking places in the basement, rooms for bikes and baby carriages. This new building is located on the outskirts of the town of Králíky, in places of territorial development with a sports and recreational focus. The design concept is based mainly on the interaction with the future ski slope and works with maximum use of a quality view of the slope and the picturesque landscape. When solving the design, care was taken to ensure that the building complied with the design principles of passive structures.
Aspects of GNSS Processing
Puchrik, Lukáš ; Kostelecký,, Jan (referee) ; Kratochvíl,, Vlastimil (referee) ; Hefty,, Ján (referee) ; Švábenský, Otakar (advisor)
The thesis deals with processing of epoch-wise GNSS measurements from local geodynamic network Sněžník. Its aim is to evaluate the geodynamics in the area of Králický Sněžník Massif and to assess the capabilities of epoch-wise GNSS measurements to detect the geodynamic movements. Within the thesis the comprehensive processing of all the GNSS measurements observed between years 1997 and 2011 is realized using the reprocessed products of first IGS reprocessing Repro1. Bernese GPS software version 5.0 is used for all the processing.
Valley evolution of the Kladská Bělá river
Stemberk, Jakub
The PhD. thesis deals with the morphostructural evolution of the valley network of the Biala Lądecka river, (further refer as BL) during the Late Cenozoic. In this work, the selected methods as geomorphological research (morphostructural analysis, geomorphological mapping), structural-geological research (paleostres analysis) and geophysical survey on selected sites were used, to answer the questions of river basin development and its relationship with predicted tectonic activity within the area, as well as with anticipated or already known paleohydrographic changes. The BL basin is situated within the Rychlebské hory Mts. / Góry Złote (northern and eastern parts of the basin), Králický Sněžník (southern part) and the Krowiarki Mts. (western part) in Poland. The Marginal Sudetic fault zone, which represents one of the most important tectonic zones in the Central Europe, passes in vicinity of the study area as well as the regionally important Bělský fault, which passes directly through the BL basin. The results of the analysis indicate that the BL basin has undergone very complex development due to tectonic movements since Miocene up-to-day. Based on the results of the paleostress analysis, which was performed on the dated volcanites in Lutynia - Lądek Zdrój area, the parameters of the palaostress...

The morphology and activity of selected avalanche paths in the Hrubý Jeseník Mts. and the Králický Sněžník Mts.
Krause, David
The occurrence of avalanche paths is usually frequent in alpine environment, but it is also present in mid-mountains such as the High Sudetes. The submitted master thesis is focused on avalanche paths in the Eastern High Sudetes. The morphometric analysis of 8 paths was accomplished to determine their characteristics and comparison with statistical verification. The dendrogeomorphological analysis and further geomorphological mapping was performed in 2 selected paths (Sněžná kotlina and Králický Sněžník) to cover their avalanche activity frequency and to find relationship between their activity and morphology. The results of this study show that there is a strong difference between two groups of avalanche paths in the Eastern High Sudetes. The Sněžná kotlina and The Králický Sněžník avalanche paths are longer and narrower than the other paths. They also have higher elevation difference. The comparison of these two paths performed by dendrogeomorphology indicates higher avalanche activity frequency in the Sněžná kotlina path, which was strengthened after strong avalanche event in 2004. It is assumed that the Sněžná kotlina path contains advanced avalanche landform, which is a long gully, probably also affected by debris- flows in the past. On the other hand the Králický Sněžník path is rather less...
Hodnocení ekologických limitů a zdravotního stavu hlavních edifikátorů lesních ekosystémů v oblasti Králického Sněžníku
Šmída, Jiří
The thesis deals with the valorization of ecological limits and health status of Norway spruce (Picea abies), European beech (Fagus sylvatica), sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplatanus) and silver fir (Abies alba) in old forest stands on research plots in the Králický Sněžník Mountains from 4th to 9th vegetation tier. Results are aggregate data, which demonstrate ecological limits for individual tree species. In higher altitudes, the blemishes of strains are more common. The average heights of trees are at higher altitudes lower. Norway spruce can be found in all vegetation tiers and its production optimum is from 4th to 6th VT. The average height of European beech is 30 meters in 4th, 5th and 6th VT. In the 7th VT European beech occurs overtopped level only, because of harsher climate and short growing season. Sycamore maple has an ecological optimum in the 5th VT. Silver fir occurs in forest stands, in 4th VT only.

TREELINE DYNAMIC IN THE MT. KRALICKÝ SNĚŽNÍK
Kolář, Václav ; Treml, Václav (advisor) ; Šenfelder, Martin (referee)
Treeline dynamic in the Mt. Kralický Sněžník Abstract Changes in treeline positions have been recorded both in the mountains of Central Europe and worldwide. The treeline upward shifts have been recently influenced particularly by rising temperature and reduced human impacts in the highest parts of the mountains. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate dynamics of treeline in the Mt. Kralický Sněžník and to determine influencing factors. Dendrochronological methods were employed to determine age structure of spruce across the ecotone and the analysis of aerial images was used to identify changes of spruce coverage between 1936 and 2014. I found that tree age is decreasing with increasing elevation - an evidence of advancing treeline. Treeline upward advance indicated by a gradual densification of spruce stands was also detected from aerial images. Seedling abundance is negatively affected by dense mats of blueberry in the upper part of ecotone. Mortality of spruce is rising with increasing elevation, which indicates the negative influence of extreme climatic conditions in the uppermost parts of ecotone. Age structures and aerial images show that the treeline advance in the Mt. Kralický Sněžník was caused by a combination of land abandonment at the end of 19th century supplemented by afforestation in the lower...
