Design of the secondary city utility tunnel with an emphasis on protection against ingress of groundwater
Vrána, Tomáš ; Černý, Vít (referee) ; Horák, Vladislav (advisor)
In the first part, the master’s thesis deals with the history of utility tunnels, methods of construction processes and materials from which they are built. It also mentions methods and materials which protect against the effects of groundwater. The thesis is mainly dedicated to the design and structural design of the secondary utility tunnel lining with an emphasis on protection against ingress of groundwater. The mathematical model was created in Plaxis 2DAE software.
Possibilities of using Crystallization and sealing Admixtures for Concrete in a highly chemically aggressive Environment
Fittl, David ; Slezák, Viktor (referee) ; Hubáček, Adam (advisor)
Previously neglected and today largely run-down agricultural and farm buildings, which have not been properly maintained, are in a dilapidated state. In recent years, however, farmers and husbandmen have been trying to create a greener and more sustainable environment. Therefore, construction companies and concrete manufacturers are under pressure to produce more resistant concrete structures with enhanced durability for buildings that must withstand aggressive environments. This thesis summarizes the current knowledge of the durability of concrete exposed to highly chemically aggressive environments; it provides a summary of the knowledge of individual types of crystallization additives in concrete; and it includes descriptions of the various types of environment affecting concrete and descriptions of agricultural and farm buildings.
Possibilities of increasing durability of concrete in highly chemical aggressive environment in agriculture
Sláma, Radek ; Slezák, Viktor (referee) ; Hubáček, Adam (advisor)
In recent years there has been a significant increase in the production of concretes for agricultural buildings, especially in the area of exposure to higly chemically aggressive environments. The aim of the thesis is to describe and summarize the existing knowledge about the durability of concrete exposed to the effects of highly chemically agressive environment. Furthermore, emphasis is placed on the description of individual additives and admixtures increasing the resistance of concrete to the effect of harmful substances. In the experimental part, the effects of individual types of additives, admixtures and sealing coatings on increasing the resistance of concrete against the effect of highly chemically aggresive environment are investigated in the laboratory.
