The work is based on architectural studies prepared in the course AG35. The subject of the thesis is the solution of new industrial bakeries Herold in Brno in Horní Heršpice on the street K Terminálu. The solution includes both industrial building itself and its surroundings. The basic idea was the breakdown of the three basic longitudinal masses into smaller parts. They create the impression folded structures from individual blocks. The blocks are separated by a narrow alley, which is located in the roof blocks embedded in the mass. The overall appearance of the industrial bakery is also supported using cassette facade system on the front blocks.

The goal of Bachelor thesis was to develop the downstream stages of project documentation for the study object industrial bakeries Herold in Brno processed in the subject AG34. This is the documentation for building permits in 1: 100 scale implementation and documentation in 1:50 scale. The subject of this documentation is newly built industrial bakeries Herold situated in Brno. The solution is as alone industrial facility and adjacent areas, representing primarily the handling and parking area, but also a sufficient amount of green. Herold company engaged in the manufacture of mill and bakery products since 1993. During that time, gained a stable position in the market and has become a major regional supplier of bakery products and mill products. The company owns both industrial production buildings and variety stores. Building a new building industrial bakeries in Brno ensure the company expanding production capacity, additional sales area and its location is closer to the area of the most extensive sales. The territory of the building located on the outskirts of the city of Brno, in Horní Heršpice, in an industrial area on the desktop brownfields number 0813. The land slopes gently from west to east, with access from the street K terminálu. Now on land is unsatisfactory and unused objects without architectural value, which will be removed and the surface will create a new industrial bakery. The intention here was to design a building which its scale, shape and material solution will respect the character of the area for which the typical industrial area, usually consisting of single packaged materials. The building is composed of three cubic materials, where the two extreme outweigh the middle, thus forming frames emphasizing the first part of the entry of employees and customers. The aim of the Bachelor thesis was to create the resulting degrees of project documentation for the architectural study I had made in the subject AG35. Herold company engaged in bakery manufactoring since year 1993 and has become an important regional supplier. The new building in Brno – Heršpice ensure the company will expand production capacity and will move closer to area of marketing. Herold company will use the building for producing breads, rolls and other bakery products. Production process will realize in three work shifts a day. The most numerous will be the night one. The building will contain also an administrative and managing part of all Herold company. The new building is an industrial building with ground plan dimensions approximately 84 x 32 meters. The project respects the place and the surroundings. Three cardinal points are surrounded by unimpressive industrial buildings but the fourth-North side is properly oriented toward the residential buildings with the silhouette of Petrov and Špilberk castle. Therefore it is oriented to the North. The building is composed of two cubic masses – the taller one and the smaller one – according to the required clear height in interior. The architectural shape is subordinate to function and the design should be maximally minimalist without any additional masses. The most important idea in the project is keeping transparency and clarity adapted to human scale. A functional architecture should show where we can enter and on the contrary where the restricted areas are. It should reflect the current architectural tendencies and the local genius loci and also represented the owner. That’s why Herold company aren´t surrounded by fence. On the other way there is projected extensive grassy area in contrast of industrial building. Prefering functional disposition and architectural elements (ribbon window, free glass facade, connection with the nature, flat roof, etc.) refer to the Functionalism history of Brno.

The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to create various stages of project dokumentation–The Dokumentation for building permission and The Dokumentation for construction and The Study of the subject AG35. Project involes a new building of The Industrial bakery Herold in the district Horni Herspice, on the land p. No. 1112 in the cadastral area of Brno. The bakery Herold has a headquarters in Slavkov u Brna and building of new object will ensure an expansion of the company's production, larger sales area and approach the area of the most extensive sales. This is a design of an industrial object, which is divided into 4 cubic mass. Main buildings consist of a production hall with stores and an expedition and the related administrative part. Two smaller objects are connected to the expedition part. There are hinterland, stores for a carrier box and a company store. The structural system of the administrative part consists of a modular system 6x6 m, 6x12 m or 6x24 m. The project also covers the surrounding area, especially the front space of the production hall, and a connection to the public infrastructure. The principle of the design is to place the object that way to ensure an economy of a construction, logic and a continuity of an internal road, to minimize an asphalt surface in the area and in front of the building and a suitable orientation to cardinal points. Because of near housing development there is the public space with trees in front the object. This space covers the building and makes visual and noise barrier. The entire area road is behind the object on the southern side. The building uses a mildly sloping land. The expedition part is 1,100 m above neighboring ground and it is good for loading baked goods into the car. The purpose of this project is to create compact and functional building with interconnected rooms with a dry shod. A continuity of the production process was one of the most important elements in designing this building.
